Hardcore drama?

A buddy of mine were arguing the other day about this:

Are there any films out there that have hardcore sex, but also have decent drama / acting? I argued that there weren't because the market is such that real actors can make a decent living doing regular television & films withoutout having to film teh moneyshot. He argued that some actors really dig teh money shot and that there are a handful of films out there with "real acting" (whatever that is...) and teh money shot.

What say you?

Nah. He didn't have any. But he swore there was some high budget pr0n made that had actual acting in it. I told him he was full of shit, but he kept at it.

My goal with this thread is A) If such a film exists to watch it and convince him that it sucks and it's just porn or B) To call him a fag if it's not actually out there.

It exists, but maybe not in the US.

There have been a few french movies like that. Officially, they are drama but you can see erections and penetrations. Usually, the director thinks it adds something to his or her movie. And they end up being 16+ or 18+ only. But the sex scenes are generally not very exciting.

The book was pretty good. The movie is not great.

There has been one with Rocco Siffredi too. Where he kinda plays a drama role and still gets some. Called Romance. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0249380/
I haven't seen Romance, but I liked some of Breillat's movies, like Sex is Comedy.

Anyway, it exists at least in France.

It's definitely not "just porn." But they are not masterpieces either. It's worth checking if you are into French independant movies, but they'd make a Sundance winner look like a Roland Emmerich blockbuster. For the sex scenes, I'd stick to "Cheerleader Hardcore XII."

That and Showgirls, but neither are anything more than big budget softcore porno. Except for Eyes Wide Shut...I'm sure there's something about that movie I'll get in 20 years. Fucking Kubrik.

It's called 9 Songs, about 2 people that meet a concert and the next few months that follow as they keep running into each other. Theres graphic hardcore sex, blowjobs, the works, its all real. Its a UK film, dont think it was ever released in the US but i imagine you can find it on video if you really wanted.

Ken Park might be another movie with graphic sex, but i honestly cant remember.

Ashley Judd and Luke Perry. Good number of sex scenes but I wouldn't call them porno...pretty softcore when it comes down to it.

I think Last Tango in Paris with Brando probably comes close to what the OP is talking about. I have not seen the movie in probably 15 years but I recall it having fairly graphic sex scenes especially for the time the movie was made. It may have even been one of the first movies to receive an "X" rating.

Could also be "Crash" starring James Spader (from 1996, not the more recent Oscar winning movie). No "hardcore" penetration stuff, but pretty graphic sex scenes. Basically, Spader does the entire cast at one point or another, including one of the other cast members gaping scar.

Pirates. It's a rip off of pirates of the caribbean sorta, but with pornstars. The acting isn't great, but it is actually funny at parts. It's actually a movie, and has a decent plot to it. What's not to like? Pirates and porn.
