| Wolverine the movie? Awesome! 2 hours of Hugh Jackman walking around not really acting but look at how awesome his sideburns are! With any luck it'll be a story arc with....uuuuuh...the japanese chick he was going to marry in Japan that turned into Lady Deathclaw. Or deathstrike. I forgot which. Ken Watanabe could show up and teach Wolverine about samurai loyalty and nihon and inspire him to be the last canuck samurai. Last edited by Iannis : 05-14-2006 at 03:42 PM. |

| God damnit, wtf happened to the deadpool movie w/ Ryan Reynolds. That would fucking own. Also, some of the marvel movies won't be true action movies like X-men/Spiderman have been. They have been talking about using the established Marvel characters for almost any genre you could think of. Ant-man might be a comedy, and Deathlok would be a true sci-fi movie (if I'm thinking of the right Deathlok) etc.. I would imagine they could even do a movie with the Midnight Group (I think I'm messing up their name, the vampire hunting group that Blade was sometimes in, along with that other vampire guy that showed up in Spiderman occasionally.) as a true horror film. |

| All of them will utterly suck except Spider-man 3, maybe Iron Man and maybe (possibly) Ghost Rider. ... Shit, I just remembered that Nicholas Cage is starring in Ghost Rider. OK, that'll suck too. They need to do Deadpool, Runaways, Young Avengers and Great Lakes Avengers/GLX. |

| Hey now, there's nothing wrong with Underworld or its sequel. As for the Marvel movies... Black Widow should be good, it's written and directed by David Hayter. A lot depends on who they pick to play her of course. Like anything which involves a female main character who runs around in a skin tight outfit and shoots a whole lot of people, the number one choice for the role should be Kate Beckinsale. I might be biased though. Punisher 2. The only truly great Marvel comic there ever was imo, and yet they've fucked Frank Castle up royally twice now. Thomas Jane actually fit the role very well, however, so there's at least a chance that they could redeem themselves in this sequel. Ghost Rider. On one hand, there's the fact that it's directed and co-written by the same guy who was responsible for Daredevil. On the other, it's also got David S. Goyer listed as a writer and Daredevil wasn't that bad if you watched the director's cut DVD. And then there's Nick Cage. I predict this movie is either really good, or just flat-out fucking awful... there can be no middle ground. Nick Fury... I dunno, hasn't Marvel already disgraced one of their best characters enough with the godawful David Hasselhoff TV series? An even scarier thought, will they let Hasselhoff play him in the movie too?! Iron Fist could be good. The guy who played Toad and Darth Maul is starring in it, and he's a pretty talented martial artist. Assuming good writing, directing, and choreography, there's some potential here at least. The Hands of Shang-Chi is directed by Yuen Wo-Ping, so I will be very sad if it ends up sucking. Killing Floor isn't based on any comic that I'm aware of. It's also rather disappointing that they used this title when there's also a movie based on a book called Killing Floor in the works. The book was pretty good, and a movie based on it should be a hell of a lot better than this other one sounds. Rest of 'em I don't care about at all (including Spider-Man 3) as they're all movies based on the kind of comics that made me avoid Marvel in the first place. Instead of ZOMG! comic book movies sell! lets make 1,000 of them! I wish they'd just pick a few and really make them good. Do we really need an Antman movie? Nothing in that list, besides Spider Man 3, will be even close to as good as Ghost World, The Crow, or V. At least the backed out of ruining Preacher. I'm still holdling out for an HBO Sandman series (never any rumor or anything, just think it would be awesome if it happened), they could do the entire thing in 6 seasons prob.

At least there's some Gaiman stuff in the pipe though. It's not Sandman, but they're gearing up to start shooting the Death: High Cost of Living movie (which he is directing himself) soon, and I'm also really looking forward to the Stardust movie that Matthew Vaughn is directing. | ||

| From the IMDB thing for Magneto it sounds not too good. Ian McKellan couldn't have anything but a small side-role in a movie dedicated to exploring Magneto and Xaviers's roots in the Holocaust. I'm actually surprised Marvel didn't fuck with their origins. Nowadays WWII vets are...er, not so very much around. Unless they got Christopher Lee to be a crazy son of a bitch nazi. I love his villain style. Last edited by Iannis : 05-14-2006 at 09:38 PM. |
