That's the problem, though. This board has always been very mature and self-disciplined for years. And now that we're getting a bigger spillover from Screenshots, we're going to have to raise our guard a bit. The MI3 thread was a perfect case in point.

Mostly I think people can resume posting the way they were before, as everything I've spelled out here is pretty much the way you guys have been policing yourselves in the past. But I just wanted to make clear to new users and potential trolls that shenanigans will not be tolerated or entertained.

Require spoilers on difference between millie and dark millie :/

And hey, for a long time the unmoderated movie house had some awesomely bad anime threads. Don't blame everything on SS

I'm so lost here as well. I mean for real, it's like the convergence of two equally opposite forces colliding. My feeble mind is unable to comprehend what in the hell is going on. Up is down, black is white...I'm in utter limbo. Is Millie - Dark Millie? Or is Dark Millie - Millie? Do they know of each other? Or do they cancel each other out and therefore do not know of each other's existence. Perhaps there exists a Light Millie and thereby completing the triangle; a Good Millie and an Evil Millie that co-exists in the same space and time as the Balanced Millie. Holy shit where is Dr. Spock when I need him to explain this shit to me.

MI3 thread was the only one I can think of without a spoiler warning. I don't much agree with the whole spillover from SS thing since alot of people who post in SS have always posted in the Millie forums as well. So I'm with Iannis on this one even though I am a member of the Millie cult.

(btw I agree on the banning of spoilers without warning.)

i shouldn't care if a movie is spoiled before i see it. it is just a movie. however i do care, and most of the time i wont even read a thread that is over two pages in this section without seeing the movie first to prevent my virgin eyes from spoilers. as far as the debate on the new rulings, im ok with it. the section is called Millie's Movie House not "ZOMG!11 My Chance to Ruin Your 9 dollars".

/me hangs himself for what may come off as brown-nosing

I mouse-highlighted to see the spoiler text but then there was none...for shame, for shame.

But word, I'm all for the ban, spoiling movies pisses me off. At the same time I'll avoid any threads about a movie im really interested in just so. RT has the spoiler tag button thing going on.

What about movies coming from books (ie. Da Vinci Code coming out next week)? I would assume you would be allowed to spoil away since most people have read the book because it's a short, easy read and thus putting them in the majority of knowing what happens, instead of the majority of not knowing what happens.

Spoilers are spoilers, regardless of the original source.

IMHO anyway.

Movies based on books aren't always direct translations, so I would be cautious about spoiling anything in a book-based movie -- regardless of how widely read the book may have been. I haven't read "The Da Vinci Code," for instance. I plan to before the movie comes out, but it just goes to show that you can't always assume people have read the book.

But has Dark Millie read the book? Ya know b/c she's evil and hates Jesus and everything.
