I'd like to go on the record 4-5 years before this movie will probably come out as saying this is a horrible idea and the movie will likely blow.

I think people are forgetting that the people behind the other movies sucked ass. Uwe Boll needs to be kicked out of the industry, as well as others that think a video game movie will be a quick fix to generate revenue. With that said, as it stands right now because of people like Uwo Boll, the video game movie market is stamped with a big deal of retard.

Lord of the Rings showed that if you take a movie like that seriously, you will make a lot of money. However, LOTR had more of a following.

The opportunity to make a great film out of this lore is definitely there, and if they do it right - with a lot of character development, and a serious overall attitude with a good director and a good script, with actors that aren't over the top idiots, I bet it would be a great film.

In the end though it all depends on how serious they take it. I loved Batman Begins - so hopefully they will have some of the same people behind it. And according to the press release, they are actually addressing those complaints about said films made before too, so that right there gives me a little hope.

Oddly enough, I sat down and watched Mortal Kombat: Annihilation lastnight on Encore from start to finish.

God, that movie was horrible. Lost all of the gains the somewhat good first movie had :/

I'll see this movie if they have the kickass opening score from WoW and the score from when Arthas walks in and kills his father.
