I'll watch it [only] if the Indian raid leader gets a feature scene. With special guest: Kate (and her hoof).

I feel sorry for those actors who are going to have to wear 50 pound shoulderpads that are bigger than they are.

There's no way those writers can pull off Paradise Lost. They need to get Mike Carey on the phone stat.

I'm sorry, but I just can't bring my angst ridden hate against this project. I'm going to deviate from the expected "norm" for Blizzard-haters and hope this turns out well.

One thing though, could Blizzard pull the plug on this if it begins to look like another BloodRayne or will Blizzard finally put out a steaming hot turd?

Fuck, I'm conflicted.

All I can do is pray this comes out well. The storyline for Warcraft 3 was pretty solid in the series. I can see the writing being there, but not sure about the acting and presentation. I just hope its better than a live action Fist of the Northstar Movie.

Some comments...

1) It will suck.

2) It will stick to aspects of the game and have very little appeal to folks who don't play WoW.

3) It will be based only loosely on the game and really piss off WoW players, but have more appeal to non WoW players.

4) What's more likely is that it will go the way of the D&D movie and try to appease players and non-players and just end up sucking.

5) It will be delayed.

6) It will be announced at some convention. The release date will get close. It will then be pushed back.

7) The release date will be pushed back some more.

8) There will be live-action actors, but it will be 60-90% CGI. The CGI will attempt to mimic WoW's general look... and end up looking like shit.

9) They will not do what they should and make the film ABOUT people who play WoW. Ideally, I think the film would work best with a Matrix / Tron formula of there being a real world and a game/computer world and have some of the story take place in either.

10) It will suck.
