I just wanted to second the Tribes movie. Anything that could capture the visceral, eneffably pure effervesence of Tribes and give it to an audience, even a fraction, would brighten my experience.

That much style condensed into a single movie would collapse under it's own mass and become a black hole that sucks worse than anything seen in the last decade.

Thief was like half a step from being a movie anyway. That's not to see that taking that half-step and going bonkers with it wouldn't rule. I'd see it anyway, Garret was the man.

Homeworld, with slightly better writing and better math in terms of how long it takes to produce a certain population (pet peeve that I also share with Starcraft. The dates and popualtion numbers in the user manuals make it impossible even if there were six women to every man and they reproduced constantly, i.e., one baby every ten months.)

Zelda, done as a two part movie. Either ALttP or OoT. First movie in the Light World and then second in the Dark World. Somehow I just think that'd own.

Final Fantasy Tactics. Please.

Final Fantasy Tactics would make an excellent movie I think. That was a game that played like reading a book. Corrupt church officials, corrupt gov't, evil prison camps - I was too young to understand the social commentary in the story when I first played it but looking back, the tale behind FFT was years ahead of its time.

I'm really hoping for Silent Hill to be great too, thinking about that game with the goddamn bizarro hospital and the zombie children with scalpels making those goddamn crazy sounds still creeps me out years later.

You can watch the Homeworld series Friday nights at 10...it's called Battlestar Galactica.

There is a Zelda movie coming out this month to dvd. Also for those who have heard, Uwe Boll strikes again with getting rights to do Starcraft the movie. Total pain.

Katamari Damacy (could you imagine ?)
Super Gouls and Ghosts (possible adventure comedy ?)
Earthworm Jim
Bionic Commando
Contra
Smash TV ( the game was practically written like Running Man. )

Ones that could be cool in theory, or have the idea lifted off it for a movie
