The best storyline was easy to find. It's the one you get if you keep picking the prettiest girl to marry. I think it was blue haired chick -> green haired girl, and the story went something like you rescue the girl, robots attack your town, the surviving people flee into the desert, you find a sanctuary for them in a satellite in space, the satellite gets shot down, and you're left the sole remaining survivor with the two androids to fight Dark Force. The gameplay was primitive, but hand to god, this was one of the saddest sci-fi stories I've seen.

Castlevania as a movie would own, if done right. I'd like to see a Xenogears movie, actually. Would probably have to be an anime, but it could be fantastic if not done like Samurai Showdown. Sadface =/
