yea its from the cartoon, my aplogies on the typo. the movie plot though looks what it will be like in the toon. however, was sandman the first escapee criminal in the comic or was it the rhino ?

also for the death of gwen stacy, doesnt she die on the bridge that they used in the first one ? if so does anyone think she will still die that way ?

lastly, anyone's idea on how they will fit the black cat into this one ? how much pussy is peter parker getting in spiderman 3 ?

I havent heard anything on Blackcat, but to be honest we dont need Mary Jane, Gwen Stacy, AND Blackcat in the same movie. It would merely dilute the whole Gwen Stacy arc and it's inevitable outcome.

Blackcat would be better saved for a Spiderman 4.

Yea I agree. Chloë Sevigny was casted for the role. She inadvertainly reveals that she is the Black Cat, but I am not sure if this is for the 3rd or a possible 4th.

Yeah in the cartoon the Venom symbiote comes from sapce from Jonah's son, while there was nothing from the secret wars series in the cartoon to hint at venom at all.

Spiderman was bleh and Spiderman 2 sucked so fucking bad. I don't get why these movies take in so much money. It would be fine if every 8-16 year old saw it but obviously they reach a lot more people. I wont watch this unless i hear from a die hard comic fan that they did Venom perectly

No. In Ultimate Brock's dad and Pete's dad were scientists together and had developed the black suit as a way to cure cancer or something. It was pretty gay.

What??? I thought both were good, but 2 was definetly better than the first. What was so bad about 2?

Reason I love the movies so much is that they just nailed the characterization for Spidey/Parker. He is supposed to be a down on his luck nerd who never has things go his way. Even if things do start working out (like coming so close to getting MJ) he has to let it go because "with great power comes great responsibility." The characterization is actually far better in the movies than in the current comics which have him as an Avenger (one of earth's mightiest heros??), married to a super model (MJ), teaching at a university, and wearing some gay ass Iron Man armor. Its just not the same, and not nearly as relatable.

As for Venom...I know everyone loves him and I've never really gotten why. I'm a huge comic dork and I don't know how Venom could be done perfectly and really don't care. Yeah he looks cool, but other than that, there is nothing particularly interesting about Brock. If anything, Carnage was far cooler as the psychotic killer with the symbiote costume. Spidey has plenty of far more interesting villians in his rogue gallery. Some of my favorite issues ever were where Harry took over as Goblin. Of course in the comics there was literally 25 years of Harry being Pete's best friend, rather than just half a movie, before Harry donned the mantel of Goblin and became his worst enemy that made things a lot more intriguing.

I don't like a lot of the Ultimate storylines, but the Venom one was particularly bad imo.

Spiderman was very good and 2 is now the gold standard by which all other comic book adaptations are judged: good story, decent acting, great special effects. There are a lot of shit superhero movies, but those two are not among them.

Anybody else very disappointed at Topher Grace being Brock? I can't think of anybody in particular that would be really good for it, but Grace just doesnt seem like the best choice to me.
