well, so i get home today and i'm like fuck, i gotta check the new posts on FoH. so i log on, and mediacom is like nope, you gotta type in your account number and registration code before you can use the intarweb. so, like any other person, i didn't know any of this, so i called them bitches. then i said, "sup, i got this webpage that wants my account number and registration code.", and he said, "whats your address?", so i tell him, and hes like brb. so he comes back and says, "do you have bittorrent?" I said OMFG WTF LOL, and he was like, "yeah, stop trying to download bourne supremacy, the folks out in california called and reported you to us. is this your first warning?" I said yeah. he said, "ok, because after it gets past the first, it gets nasty, i'll re-enstate your service, bye." so ok thxkbye, my shit works now.

don't download bourne *kills a lot of people movie.

this is really disturbing. someone, or some program at mediacom is monitoring your internet usage, which should be protected by law in your own home. you're bugged, wiretapped, whatever. you wanted your spy movie, you got spy reality the home version.

i'd suggest dropping mediacom, but comcast (or whatever the alternative is, if any) probably spies as well. and nice to know who butters the ISPs bread.

seriously, the internet isn't half of what it's cracked up to be.

Not really. Its not hard for RIAA/MPAA/whoever to put up a torrent and just check the IPs of those whos downloading off them.

My advice is to develop strange tastes, thus avoiding the possible reverse haxxoring from downloading anything mainstream. No one gives a shit when you download indian pop music.
