| Flightplan Saw it today, overall I'd score it a 5. Pretty much exactly what I was expecting; no big frills, action scenes or special effects. Jodie Foster did a decent job I suppose, and Sean Bean was pretty good in his usual supporting role. However, being a pilot myself, I kept thinking, "Why is the pilot of this brand new aircraft wandering around the airplane looking for her little girl instead of flying it?" The only person left in the cockpit was the first officer because Sean Bean was in 90% of the scenes in the cabin trying to calm Jodie Foster down or ordering her to return to her seat (even though she rarely did). Don't go in expecting a rivoting, edge of your seat thriller. But with average expectations, you should feel like you got your money's worth. |

+6 Internets | I also found it a little odd that Bean was walking around the plan so freely. I think Bean would have been better if he played the part of Carson and they changed it so that the pilot stayed in the cockpit. As for the movie, I thought it was good but nothing amazing. Reminded me of Panic Room but on an airplane. I thought it was sad though that some people in my theater actually clapped after the movie was over. ![]() |
