| Kaena: The Prophecy Anyone see this wierd flick? Caught the middle to end the other day. Animation was hot, story was weird. Just curious if anyone knows anything about it. |

| Rented it a couple months ago, it was decent I spose. There were alot of scenes that you could tell they just put it in there just to say hey, look what we can do with CGI! Also you could tell some nerds made it, the three or four outfits the chick wore were so skimpy The story was pretty lame I thought, and there were a few annoying "we have an independent teenaged free thinking girl for our hero" moments. The CGI was nowhere near either of the Final Fantasy movies, or some other CGI I've seen, but it wasn't bad. If you're bored and like CGI, go rent it, it was decent.

+16 Internets | Very very classic story for a decent movie I guess. I mostly remember it for a moment of great visual beauty (a scene involving the general and the queen - or whatever was their titles).

| A friend of mine, who's a professionnal 3D artist (doing cool ads and stuff), told me that it's actually pretty amazing that this movie actually got released, considering the staff that did it changed like 3 or 4 times during productions (for reasons I forgot, since that was two years ago). Movies like that, which I think are pretty okay, really have me believe that CG movies are not dead. If you go for a CG movie, go fantasy. Think Nemo, Shrek, weird things like that. Don't try to do realist characters like Final Fantasy - Kaena seems to go for a more cartoonesque render and design for the humans. Now get me a Drizzt CG movie, slackers.
