+19 Internets | The movie is pretty retarded when the fight scenes aren't happening. That said the fights were awesome and the chase scene was cool (even if half the moves were unnecessary). Didn't care for the story or the B-rated feel one bit though. |

| What Ham said. Really. I wasn't that impressed, in fact my favorite scene was the chasing scene - he did some really nice movements and quick thinking there.

| *rolleyes* Oh c'mon... It's a language-dubbed martial arts movie. You don't go see it for the witty dialogue, the intriguing plot, or the top-caliber acting. You go see it for the super-kung-fu-action. Which Ong-Bak delivered, huge-time. New fight style, no wires, piles of OMG-inducing blows. Stop trying to critique things the movie has no chance (or intention) of delivering. For the type of movie it is, it's a home run. |

| Well I didn't rack it down on dialogue, music or whatever anyway. I look upon it as a martial artist myself. The worst part was that irrational jump-up-smack-down-with-elbow move he did. He opened himself completely everytime - sure it's powerful if it hits, but the knee-kicks were far more effective and came explosively as well. Although that girl, while annoying, was kinda hot.

+1 Internets | He's got a new movie out, Tom Yum Goong. The story/acting is the same greatness as Ong-Bak, but the fighting is quite a bit better Ive heard. Came out around 2-3 weeks ago in Asia only atm. No idea when the North American release date will be. I cant find a torrent for it either yet. There are a few trailers out for it that look alright. |

+19 Internets | Haha thanks for telling me what I go in expecting from a movie Morin. I've seen some good story lines in martial art films, I didn't expect his one to be good so you're somewhat right, but I don't know why I would leave that out of my critique of the film just because it's not what the movies main focus should be. |

Blocking a punch with your head is a viable technique but one that should always be done as a last resort, and more importantly done correctly. Getting hit in the nose - bad. Getting hit in the forehead while leaning into the punch - not as bad.

| This movie is fucking rediculous. Best martial arts movie I've seen in a long time. The story is meh and simple, but it serves it's purpose(to get you to the ass kicking and acrobatics and whatnot). They actually took some scenes out of the original movie that were nothing but horrible, horrible acting, and the US version is better for it. As was said, if you go see this movie for the story, you're missing the point and/or probably not the right audience. I've seen good martial arts movies with a good story, and without. Saying this movie is retarded when the fight scenes aren't happening, is like saying Ass Rammers 6 is retarded when the sex isn't happening. |

+4 Internets | I heard Luc Besson was going to re-cut the american DVD release, did that happen? It was edited pretty damn poorly when I saw it in the theatre, so I hope so. Other than that, I agree with Ham and the like.

They never made Ass Rammers 6 because Tera Patrick didn't like the script and refused to do it. Now Ass Rammers 5, there's a movie!
