| I second Metropolis. When "the song" kicked in at the end, I couldn't stop laughing, though I don't think that was the intended effect. Most boring heroine ever in a plot that made no sense. There is a subbed version of Armitage out now, and a sequel, also subbed. Both are pretty good. Nowhere near the top of the heap, but worth a once over. As for the new harem stuff, starting my way through Yumeria. It's supposed to be pretty bad, but I'm running low on silly anime. You can only watch Azumanga Daioh so many times :)

| I don't know how Eva can even make this list, there is such a vast well of utter garbage out there that I just can't figure how a mediocre at worst series makes it into this list. Also, I liked Metropolis alot, it varied significantely from the original, but it was still a good watch on it's own. Edit: Searyx is going to hell for that fucking Simmons-licking goddamn font of his. |

+53 Internets | Dangiao (sp?). Kick ass animation and story, but they stopped making the series after four episodes. WTF? GIL BURG WINS?!?!?!

+18 Internets | I'll have to throw up Ghost in the Shell 2 also. The only redeeming scene in that movie was the "I'm just going to talk to them" part. That was pretty own ;p "What the fuck do you want?" *whips out a 50mm machine gun and starts to kill everyone*

| He must have seen the Dreamworks translation of GITS: Innocence. Get one of the fansubs! Laughing Man Fansubs did an excellent job. While GITS: Innocence may not work that well as a whole, some of it's individual scenes are ingenious. Such as the big tower of the hacker in the middle of nowhere, and the repeating dreamworld that follows. As for Evangelion, the way I hear it, one of the middle episodes scared/offended quite a few people, so since they don't have much of an MPAA over there to rate things, they just cut their budget to shreds. That's why the last few episodes are kinda...

| I file anime into one of three categories: Monologue anime. You know exactly what I'm talking about. Anime is full of dialogue that involves one character explaining life / the city / philosophy / what-the-fuck-ever to another character or to no one at all. It's boring and annoying. It is the director / writers saying, "We're not creative enough to tell our story any other way than to spoon feed large portions of it to you. Open wide." When I encounter this, I generally fast forward to the next action and/or sex scene. Anime that doesn't make sense. Some anime departs from the monologue, but the problem is the director is just showing you his story rather than TELLING you the story. There are many ways to tell a story. Being obscure for the sake of "ahrt" is just irritating. Anime with lots of monologues that still doesn't make sense. Long monologues that mean fuck-all next to actions that are meaningless or make zero sense. The all time worst anime I have seen had to be... I didn't pay attention to the name. VGcats.com explained it best: ![]()
