| I saw it and personally I thought it sucked. Seemed like Amy Smart was out of place in that movie, she was the only person who wasnt trying to overact. And at times the movie was hard to follow jumping back and forth. But the fucking thing that really pissed me off was how stupid some of the lines were. "If my hands had never been blown off my mother would have never started smoking." WTF. |

| I really enjoyed it, the thing I found to be most annoying was the slightly nauseating special effects used when he went back. I saw a lot of critics complain about plotholes, but past the obvious paradox implied in almost any time travel story the rest seemed pretty minor or non-existant. After the first 20 minutes I was able to forget that I was watching Ashton Kutcher and he just became "that guy." (I never though of the protagonist as Evan.) The silly lines were there to both show how Evan suddenly realized why something was, and to explain it to the audience in 2 seconds rather than actually go into detail. I'm not saying they couldn't have been written better, but they did serve a purpose. I'm still thinking about it a full day after seeing it, so yeah I'd reccomend it to others. |

| saw this last night.. fucking rawked.. This, big fish, and ROTK are my favorite movies of the last 6 months *SPOILERS* The only thing that bugged me, and my friends, was that he kept going to different events, instead of just redoing the same event after what he learned.. Like, going back to the basement with the videotape and telling the dad to be nicer to the son AND stop molesting his sister. Or, not standing right in front of the fucking mailbox when it exploded, and letting tommy still save the mom. But, I guess they were trying to say no matter what he did with each event, it still ended up fucked. Still.. that kind of 'non realism' kind of irritates me.. Same thing as horror movies, but in those you can laugh at how stupid the characters are 'noo don't go outside alone... fuck! your dead..' |

| Was crazy, but I liked it. Better then I expected. Kelso actually did pretty good. Not great, but not suck. I must say, I really felt those headaches that would happen whenever he did the timewarp. Though, I get migraines, so it may be a personal thing there. I loved the effects when he went back in time myself. All that time playing amplitude, frequency, and various fps has made it very hard for pictures to give me motion sickness. There were various plotholes, but nothing too big to kill it for me. I really liked the style and how he just kept getting fucked. It seemed to have a twilight-zone vibe. Except a lot more depressing. So if ya can get over the not too great acting, I'd say go for it. I admit, there were even some unintentionally funny parts for me, but this is the first movie with ashton in it that actually got to me. It has cult possibilities if it isn't a smash (which I doubt, even though everyone coming out of the theatre liked it, it's just too wierd.) And although not in the same level of quality, I could see people comparing it to Donnie Darko. **Spoiler time** As for why he jumped in front of the mailbox, kelso didn't see the kid save the mom until he was already fucked, since the kid ran up after. He did seem to be a pussy in various parts of the movie.. but he was just a kid after all. And thank god that big goth guy wasn't nearly as annoying or important to the movie as I had feared. The pool-hall scene was actually pretty funny ^_^ Am I the only one though, that thought the happy(in comparision to the rest of the movie) ending didn't fit too well? It was a tad too perfect after seeing how much he kept fucking things up. I can see why they did it though, since without it it would gone down to suicide levels of depression. |

| I thought it was an awesome movie.. And the ending didn't seem to perfect.. *** Spoiler *** Had they stopped at the end when they passed on the street and started talking, and it like faded away with the two of them sitting in a cafe laughing and talking then I would say it was too perfect. However it just showed that there was something in fate that they had a connection. The fact that he went back to the beginning and he did the one thing that he had never thought of until the time frame where he had no arms, says that he loved her enough to do the ultimate sacrifice.. He had to sacrifice having her in his life so that everyone would stand a chance at being happy. So I suppose it was kind of a toss up. He got to live with having loved her, but had to live with knowing she never loved him. |

+2 Internets | Haha I love the reviews it got. Usually the newspaper pukes will bite hard on any old piece of shit movie with any kind of budget but not this one: Dave Kehr in the New York Times: "Staggeringly bad" Jack Mathews in the New York Daily News: "If you approach this movie in the right frame of mind -- that is, with total contempt -- you can still enjoy it as a comedy." Ann Hornaday in the Washington Post: When it "reaches its ridiculous and unsatisfying conclusion, it's tempting to think that ... [the audience has] just been punk'd." |

![]() And as for professional critics, I've never trusted them, since they usually look at movies differently then the mainstream public, or me for that matter. **More spoilers** I suppose I had just gotten used to the depressing levels of the movie, and something finally... working, seemed odd. I half expected the movie to end with either with him totally fucking things up; or with him saving everyone, but dying after it due to the massive bleeding it caused in his head. Your point makes sense though. | |
