| Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy http://filebox.vt.edu/users/jkbrooks...ikersguide.mov This trailer has actual scenes from the movie and stuff. Looks pretty good from what I've seen, and I can't wait for it to come out next month. I grew up with these books and I hope the movie will do them justice.

| After seeing the British series, I don't think I even want to see this.

| I have high hopes for this. If it sucks the writers/director shouldn't be allowed back in the industry. I mean the story itself is completely able to carry the entire movie without all the extra effects and shit. If anything with newer effects it should be fantastic. |

+15 Internets | From what I've read, it's pretty true to the book (Yes, it even has the surprised sperm whale). Plus, DOUGLAS ADAMS was a co-writer on the script before he passed away...so even if it doesnt suck, he wont be working in the industry again ;O

| My skepticism went up a notch after seeing what Marvin looks like in the movie. :/ The casting of Arthur seems really good though, and I don't see the problem that a lot of people have with Mos Def as Ford. People seem to conveniently forget how different the radio script was from the book, and that Adams never intended the movie to be exactly like either of them while he was writing his draft of it. Here's an interesting "interview" on the official site -- http://hitchhikers.movies.go.com/hit.../interview.htm |

+15 Internets | Adams wrote the screenplay originally. It's kind of a mix of the radio plays + the book, with a few new elements plugged in (the point of view gun, that guy John Malkovich is playing, etc). But rest assured Adams was the one who added most of that stuff.

| Oh shit, Richman is doing Marvin? OK, this movie just went from "might be good/might suck" to "might be good/might be fucking awesome". Suckitude chance = .3% now

| Romo is a manwhore | It is now out and most critics are showing mixed feelings. Rotten Tomatoes has it at 51%. However, I found this gem of a reviewer quote that I just had to share: Quote:
Anyone see this yet? | |
