Yes this isnt a movie, but I figured it would make a good topic for the movies forum.

Im not sure if this is the exact name of the show, but it was on after Harvey Birdman on Adult Swim. Fucking hilarious show, Im not sure whether I was just tired or it was just good.

Thoughts?

(If you dont get what show im talking bout its the one with the animation where they are just "slides" of blue-colored real-time people.)

Man, I watch Adult Swim all the time but they put some shitty shows up on there. Tom goes to Mayor is probably funny, but it's going to take alot to get me to watch it. It's so slow and tries to hard to be "out there".

Super Milk Chan is even worse.

Adult Swim should just play Aqua Teen, Futurama, Family Guy, Venture Bros. and Inuyasha over and over. And Home Movies, what happened to that show? It rocked.

I would agree with you, but Tom goes to the Mayor I would say isnt out there, but its funny in a different way. Yes Super Milk Chan I think is shit, but I dont watch adult swim a whole lot more and I since I own and musta watched Aqua Teen Volumes 1-3 a couple times through Ive gotten bored of that show for the most part.

I just liked this show because it seemed different, yet somehow funny. One of their better shows in my opinion.

The new shows like Super Milk Chan and Tom goes to the Mayor suck a splendiferous amount of ass. In return though Venture Bros. kicks an exorberantly large amount of ass.


I love Family Guy and Futurama with all my body including my pee pee but I've seen every episode no less then 30 times each literally. Normally now I just play WoW in a window with my TV tuner card in the corner while they are on and actually start paying attention when ATHF starts.

They started that Big-O crap up again the other day. Not to sound like a furry yif fudge packer but I wish they would start showing two Inuyasha every night.

Tom goes to the mayor is really hit or miss. Super Milk Chan blows ass, and Home Movies is the best thing since slice bread (go buy the season 1, they hook you up with like 550 minutes of episodes).

Huuuuuuuuuge fan of Tome goes to the Mayor, I dont know why, but I think its hilarious, its very dry, but its great.

As for Milk Chan, I have to say that its hilarious, I'll admit i hated it the first few times I watched it, but I warmed up to it, and now I think its one of my favorites on the line up, theres just something about it that makes me laugh my ass off.

im an avid adult swim watcher...in my opinion, tom goes to the mayor is the worst show to ever be aired on adult swim. i just dont find anything about it funny. he comes up with "rats off to you", idea gets jacked, hilarity ensues (?) on top of that, the animation just puts me in a bad mood for some reason.

on the other hand, space ghost coast 2 coast and sealab 2021 rule adult swim. while athf has its moments, it really doesnt compare.

fam guy is awesome of course, i can even slightly get into super milk chan just for the 3 or 4 lines every show that totally crack me up. those ants are hysterical

Tom Goes to the Mayor is pretty funny, but the humor is dry. Like several have said before, it's either going to be hit or miss. Super Milk Chan, however, is a steaming pile of horse shit that should never have been aired. After that Squidbillies shit, I thought the preview commercials were a joke.

Venture Brothers is one of the greatest shows on Adult Swim.

I like Tom goes to the Mayor, but I couldn't exactly tell you why. I like the 'style' where they use the blue shit for characters.

I've seen two espisodes, and the first is the only one I remember. The bear traps were pretty $$$ I thought.

Tom Goes to the Mayor is funny most of the time. I like how the kinda slow guy gets his ideas horribly changed by an insane mayor/mayors nephew. <3 Bear Traps episode. I will admit I didnt like it at first but it grew on me.

Fuck Super Milk Chan. I can not stand this show I wont even run it in the background while im playing WOW. Milk Chan is just obnoxious.

I tried to give tom goes to the mayor a nice hefty chance simply because Bob Odenkirk is associated with it. Which is probably the only reason it's halfway entertaining. The writing is so hit or miss that it's going to kill the show, simply because there is NOTHING else there. I think calling it "animation" is a stretch it's closer to a quick paced slide show if anything. It serves it's purpose in that the writing is the focus but this isn't always a good thing as people have already said.

Sealab sucks really hard now, the only episodes that even came close to it's original glory included sharko. When sharko jumped the tank of fonzies for example was pure comedic gold. I'm guessing some of the original writers left when Murphy died hence it's decline.

venture bros owns far too much tho, and Futurama and Family Guy will always come out on top of the adult swim battle
