YES!!! finnally he gets a franchise deserving of his talents. I mean taxi was bar none the best movie ever put to film, which suggests barbershop wasn't but we all know that's a filthy lie.

Trailer was too short and the music for it was horrible, left a bad impression.

The villian is listed as Dr.Doom, I guess we see him in the trailer doing the electrical attacks. I couldn't actually remember what Dr.Doom's special powers were (if any), looked it up and found this (http://www.marveldirectory.com/individuals/d/drdoom.htm), which wasn't entirely helpful. Can anyone explain his powers? It didn't look like he was represented well from the trailer.

I think Galactus would have made a better villian, hopefully they'll use him for the sequel once they set up FF in the first movie?

Also thought The Thing looked too human, had a round smoothness to him, like someone took a sander to him and polished his body. Rather then the bulky rocky "monster" from the comics, with the jutting brow, think that really made the character in the comics. Better picture of him here http://superherohype.com/nextraimages/thethingew.jpg. He just looks like a bad burn victim.

Ya...I think the whole super hero movie shit has run it's course for the time being.

Let's all stop after F4 please. Ok another Spiderman and that's it. No more Elektra, Catwoman, Daredevil, Punisher, and Hulk. Stop putting out crap.

The Doc just had a bad ass suit. That's pretty much it. Oh and he rules some made up Eastern European country. Think Iron Man but evil.

AT FIRST The thing had the "burn victim" look, it was not til later that he had the rock look... ie his skin was forming--atleast that is how i remember it..(damn making me look it up)

it is not til between 10 and 18 that his skin" hardens" into the rock style that we all know.

Actually, that sums up the whole comic book line for me anyway.

I always thought Reed Richards was just a creepy character always stretching shit out all over the place for absolutely no reason whatsoever. How creepy must it be to carry on a conversation with the guy when he's all sitting in one place with one arm stretched out the door to the kitchen, the other stretched out across the room to answer the phone and his neck all stretched out just so he can reach around behind you and look over your shoulder?

He's a lot more than that. Not just a suit, but also robots. And then there are his magical skills...he's one of the more powerful magic users on the planet. And all of that is backed up by a willpower that is second to none. Oh, he has kicked Galactus' ass too

Probably my favorite comic book villian.

His costume for the movie looks crappy though. That doesn't bode well.
