Wolf's Rain

Is it any good? I'm currently burning the fansubs (ridiculously good quality) onto 2 DVDs, 15 episodes per disc. The question is, should I be bothering? Is the series any good?

Also, I'm gonna encode and burn Naruto Seasons 1 and 2 next. Are they any good?

Naruto owns something fierce, but the current sasuke/naruto vs gaaru and Orochimaru vs sarutobi is getting dragged on waaaaaaaay to long. Fuck that shit, bring on Itachi already.

Naruto-gaara is about to get much better, and other than the last episode, it hasn't been really dragged out that much (in comparision to the rest of the series) It's the biggest fight yet,so it's going to be longer then the rest of em. Oro/3rd is pretty much just in the background. It's still nowhere near goku/freeza though thank god , toriyama is much better then he used to be.

Thats the one thing people seem to not like about naruto Searyx.
The fights can be slow, since toriyama likes to develop characters and tell a story during most of them. So there's always lots of talking or thinking or flashbacks or whatnot. Obviously lots of people don't mind it though, seeing how popular the series is.

Because when they do start fighting it's intense. Any battle I see Shikamaru in I know is going to come out with an awesome ending. Anyways, I really like the manga, it even appears to be pulling realtively ahead of the anime lately.

Naruto is some good stuff. When I first discovered it, I downloaded all the episodes that were currently out (I think about 60) and watched them within the span of a three day holiday weekend. I now download the weekly episodes from Baka-san every Thursday afternoon, ha!

And about Wolf's Rain....heard good things about it. I have all 30 episodes on cd but I have yet to watch all of it. I watched about 3 episodes a while back and couldn't get into it. Someday I'll come back to it, haha. I do love the animation and the music of it though. Especially the music, I even downloaded the entire soundtrack via Bittorrent.

And on a side note: I am currently watching an anime called Hunter X Hunter. The voice actor of Naruto plays the main character Gon in this. It's also very similar in concept of that to Naruto and I enjoy it tons. Gon wants to be a hunter just like his father and to get there he has to take the Hunter Exam. It's 62 episodes long and I'm currently on episode 11.

What season is Naruto in? I got 1 and 2, but haven't burned them onto DVD yet.

From my knowledge, they haven't stopped making episodes since the first one(outside of a 1 week break after a 1 hour special) so they don't really have seasons, just story arcs. It starts out with initial training/zabuza, 1st part of chunin exam(starts somwhere in episode 20's?), final chunin exam(1 month later, starts in the low 50's), and now the invasion of kohona(sp). There's much more after that but I won't spoil.

Naruto is on episode 77 (78 This Week), if that helps, Searyx.

I've lost interest in Naruto every week. I've began to read the manga some, just because I'm getting tired of watching 4 episodes, ,and it covering about 10 minutes of what's going on. They've done the Hokage scene (won't go into details), for almost 10 episodes now I think.

Sure the fight that's about to happen is going to rule(again won't go into details), but it's been taking way to long to get there. Don't forget they chased him for like 5 episodes with nothing but us watching Naruto jump along trees. The amount of filler they produce in order to milk the series for everything is starting to really bother me. I don't know if it's trying to be the next DBZ or what (episode length), but I can easily see it hitting around 200, maybe more if this current pacing continues.

In the mid-teens when they are on the bridge, it took a while, but at least the side stuff they'd show you seem to actually make you feel like something was happening that made it worth the delay (the kid, mom, the fact naruto wasn't there, etc). I also think they made you care about your characters more then. Zabuza was an awesome badguy and his whole scene with Haku was done A+, the quality of the series hasn't really compared to that yet.

They even through out the impression that all these ninja-trainees might be important, since they consumed a full episode or two per fight, no matter who was fighting during the entrance exams. I heard most of them havn't even come back in the manga in 100+ chapters, and most peoples favorites, or one of their favorites just now comes back... so anyone elses suprise visit (should it happen) means so little now in comparison.

I do enjoy the series though. It was probably one of my favorites, or my favorite for a while there. It's slipped further down my favorites each month it seems. I don't even download them immediatly from Baka-San anymore (wait for ANBU>bs, plus I just don't remember like I used to). I wish they could pace the anime more along the lines of the manga. The flashback scenes that just took up two whole episodes was only a chapter, and it didn't even contain much outside of dialogue until the end... could've trimmed that to one without a problem.

Happy, yet dissapointed

They haven't really had to throw that out at all. They've simply needed to focus more on Naruto(since he's the main character), and then the "group" that goes on the current mission. It's impossible to detail 15 different characters at all the same time, especially when the story is more focused on a single mission. It was possible before because the story was about all of them trying to get through the chunnin exam.

In the current arc, we've already seen long(multiple chapter) fights with each member of the 5 man team that was sent out. (2 are still unresolved, with no filler) I never figured chouji was so badass. But who really wants to see the trial's and tribulations of Sakura and Ino's life? The only interesting characters that have been left out since Oro's invasion are Gaara(which is understandable), Hinata and Shino.

Looking at the current situation, any major character appearing would be quite exciting and mix things up even more. The one that did came out of absolutely nowhere, and has already lead to what looks like the best fight in the series.

I admit, the past episode was just a waste of time. But the one before that was about showing gaara's backstory and whatnot(which is important in the fight). Hopefully the last episode was just a temporary fuckup. And from the episode preview, it looks like they're fitting a lot of stuff into the next one. Plus they're yet to show off most of the Jounins, which shall be the shit. They should have put some of that in already.

This is from that same guy that did dragonballz. He has some similiar techniques, but that was 15+ years ago, you can tell he's improved. And 200 episodes? Unless they cut the story short, or do a time jump, I can see it going longer then that.

Exactly my point. Which is why it was worthless and a waste of time sometimes (they all took one episode, but some were seriously dragging) and other characters, the "less'' important ones could've easily wrapped their fights up quicker. I even believe some episodes were like "fight>find out next match---next episode flashback, start match in last minute- finish match at end up next episode, announc next match<. Not that I'm really complaining about those episodes as much as the recent, because most of the fights still rocked, but they spent all this time on Hinata and Neji and then they write them out almost. They even tickle with this love interest that hinata/naruto had and then just abandon it and go on, almost forgetting she ever existed.

Exactly, the pacing blows. And everytime they play that happy music you know shit has basically started over for 5-10 episodes. Again, I like the shot, but to think I'm not even halfway done is just annoying. The manga is on what, 211? I mean it's hard to say how much they'd have to cut short, I mean drastic shit happens in stories a lot. I remember reading stuff where I think that there's going to be a shitload more, then something huge happens (which normally rules) and it ends relatively later from that point. I'm not saying they're going to do that, but there's no point to drag on. They should learn (writing/episode way) how to focus on what's important when a series hits this length. I think we saw the Gaara/Sasuke flashback like 5 times when he was training with Kakashi, and we've been watching monkeyman hold hokage's sword for the last 10.

Learn how to progress correctly is all I'm asking.
