| zombie novels So I just finished reading what is written of the Morning strain saga. These two books are pretty good and about a few groups perspective as they venture forth. Has anyone else read some good zombie books or graphic novels. I have already read the zombie survival guide and World War Z. I recommend WWZ on tape I have read it and listened to it, but all the voice acting totally pulls you in to the environment even more.

| A few thats not been mentioned yet - Day by Day Armageddon wasn't bad, the story is written in diary form by a US airman who stays at home when the crisis kicks off. Welcome to JLBourne.com! The author has finished writing the second book this very week but it will be mid next year before it's published. I've only read one book from the Autumn saga but it had an interesting beginning. David Moody – author of HATER, DOG BLOOD and the AUTUMN series It used to be available for free download but he's now signed a distribution deal so you can't download it legally anymore. The first book has been adapted into a film which was released on dvd in Germany already and elsewhere soon. There's a trilogy that started off okay, started to go downhill towards the end of the first book and was plain terrible by the end of the there called Monster Island, Monster Nation and finally Monster Planet. I'd advise extreme caution on actually shelling out for this set, the premise seemed quite good but it ended with plot contrivances the Heroes scriptwriters would laugh at. However it's saving grace to you may be that it's available online for free as well as in book form Monster Island, a serial zombie novel by David Wellington Unfortunately, other than World War Z, there seems to be very few zombie books that aren't self contained. It seems everyone wanted to write multi parters now and not many of them have come to a conclusion yet.

| As far as graphics go the only one I've read that I've really liked is Walking Dead. It's all over the place but overall thumbs up, especially since there's not too many other contenders. Marvel Zombies is of course also solid. |

| I was in Barnes and Noble and saw a book called 'Zombies' by Robert Twombly. . .has anyone heard of this? It was setup like a journal recounting the tale of some survivors of a zombie plague. . . Zombies, Robert Twombly, Book - Barnes & Noble Last edited by Neuad; 11-06-2009 at 11:36 PM.. |

+49 Internets | I recently finished Season of Rot, which was a collection of 5 short stories. It was a quick read, but nothing special. Some of the shorts seem like they could have been made into a much larger story, but most are ended abruptly and have some huge suspension of disbelief factor even for a book about zombies. The first story is kind of cliche, save for a very odd twist with the zombies. The 2nd book had an interesting zombie concept, but it ended far too soon and it seemed kind of rushed...almost like the author didn't know where he wanted to go with the concept so he just decides to cram a shitload of chaos into the last part. The 3rd story was a bit more self-contained, although the attempt to explain bullshit science kinda detracted from it. The 4th story had a cool concept: After the Civil War, the US has to stop the West from being overrun by the undead. I felt the idea could have been stretched into a far longer story. The final story was kinda odd: Basically Hell has washed up onto Earth and various factions of demons are trying to wipe out humans in order to a) build foot soldiers of zombies to use vs. the other demon factions b) not be distracted by humans when they goto war. It's semi-self contained and had the sole "we're not totally fucked, sorta" ending of all the stories. I noticed a book called "Patient Zero" came out, where Terrorists try to use zombies to fight us. Anyone read it?
