| That is so absolutely beyond true. Working at a bookstore, I get to see it in action. Guys come in and buy the playboys, penthouses, etc. and women buy the "romance" novels. I've flipped through those and a huge percent are more graphic than playboy actually :P |

| I saw it the other day. It would have been worth it for 15 or so blowjobs. But alas I saw with a couple friends who have been dating a long time and not a significant other. The saddest part is that it was the guy in the relationship that wanted to see it, the girl wanted nothing to do with it. The first half of the movie was absolutely brutal. The second half was laughably fun. People who sparkle in the sun playing baseball during a thunderstorm and then having an almost Greece style showdown. You can't make that shit up. |

+25 Internets | TL;DR - if you're curious as to the story line, go to Twilight (series) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. It's not worth wasting your time on page after page of [spoiler follows] "I want you to bite me so I can be immortal and we can be in love forever" and "No I don't want to kill your soul! You'll get old and die and then I'll kill myself!" For some god forsaken reason my best friend from high school recommended this series to me saying that he "really enjoys reading them" and as I'm playing WoW for about 12-16 hours a day I have listened to the first 2 books in a few days. I really wish I had looked here first before wasting my time on this prepubescent, angsty, goth, emo girl shit. The writing is terrible. The plot arcs (lol?) for the first two books are non-existent. I would definitely agree with the reviewer that said this series moves the female disempowerment movement twenty leagues forward. I'm surprised I haven't seen more ranting and raving by feminazis about how helpless and meaningless this character is and how she shouldn't be a protagonist for any series, let alone a vampire novel. | The feminazi's are definitely crazy. But the reason you haven't heard more raging is that because most women may be feminists, but deep down inside they are still biologically determined. This series appeals to their biology, whether they want to fight it/admit it/deny it or not.
