| EverQuest books - Ocean of Tears So, I did a quick search (sorry if I missed them!) and did not see anything. Anyone read any of the EQ novels- the Ocean of Tears one has gotten some good reviews in the fact that it keeps to the "real" EQ1 world- unlike the rouge EQ book that made up towns, people groups, spells etc that did not previously exist in the EQ1 world- OOT keeps more true from what I can tell. Honestly the EQ1 from Vanilla -> Plane of Power -> EQ2 timeline imo is a great story and was thinking today on the way home from work I would love to read novels about the in-game story etc hell I would love to write it...then I saw the add for EQ:OOT novel...so I come here seeking general thoughts info etc.

+20 Internets | Do they have prequels to the whole thing? Like when Gods ran shit, or the world before this or that and what not? Wasn't EQOA a prequel game? Or is there a book that fills in the timeline better between eq1~>2 eq books can only be good to me if they stay with the same lore and cities I recognize, along with the characters I know making appearances. "made up towns, people groups, etc" shouldn't be called everquest. |

| I read the first one years ago (when it first came out) and I remember it being pretty underwhelming. If more were released after that one, then I never heard about it.

| Theres 4 Everquest books. Rogue's Hour, Ocean of Tear's, Blood Red Harp, and Truth and Steel. I believe all 4 books are really great. Sure Rogue's hour defers a bit from the storyline and such but whos not to say those villages didnt exist as the small towns you pass thru the karana's and what not. Personally I thought they were all great stories. |

| rogues hour was passable forgotten realms style throw away fantasy, ocean of tears was a decent read, blood red harp was a god awful pile of shit, and truth and steel imo was a good book, characters felt more alive then the others. |

| No, but that sounds like that EQ webcomic that used to come out. This was about Firona Vie coming back and the group that was protecting her,

| Nah this comic wasnt a webcomic for sure. Ill see if I can dig up some images of the comic online somewhere since the comic is in storage somewhere. But they drew all the elves as dark elves pretty much. Was a great story and had wished they finished it. |
