| The Safeway near my house has a 'book for a $1' table, with the money all going to a charity. Someone who loves scifi got rid of all their stuff, becuase I managed to grab all of William Gibson's books (even Burning Chrome), all of Vernor Vinge's stuff, 4-5 Stephen Kings I hadn't read yet and Into the Wild |

+3 Internets | The first one is bad but just average enough to get you to buy the second novel, and then the second novel is pure shit. Its cliche stuff and the characters argue and whine over every little thing, which is a huge pet peeve of mine, so naturally I hated it. But yeah, the cover looked cool so I got it as well when it came out. Damn you shiny things!

| Current reading Thirteen by Richard K. Morgan. Not bad so far but VERY different from the Takashi novels. I am loving the Jesus land angle though a bit hard to believe. Just Finished: Foundation Series: Last 7 books. I am thinking of getting I Robot and reading all those novels and novellas up to foundation. Also I find I am really into the anti-hero's. A lot of your guys suggestions are turning out awesome. I'm trying to stray a bit away from fantasy and more towards sci-fi/steam punk novels with anti-hero backgrounds right now. Edit** Oh and just finished listening to the Count of Monte Cristo. You know the movie seriously does not do this book justice. I suppose that should be obvious as no movie ever does but I am seriously wondering if I should just go back through the last 50 years or so and find all the movies which were adapted from novels that I liked and go read the books. Both Starship Troppers and the Count of Monte Cristo are recent experiences of novel to movie adaptations that I read where the novel was extremely better. I am wondering if LOTR and the whole series is worth reading on book. Course I straying from fantasy atm..
