he was 90, so it's not like a huge out-of-the-blue thing, but still...

One of my personal heroes and role models. I knew it would be soon, but it's still sad.

We literally lost one of the greatest minds of the 20th century today. Rare can an author/scientist leave a permanent impact on the entire world.

When I think of quintessential Clarke, I think Childhoods End. Written way back in like '56 or something.

It isn't my favorite piece, but I think it encapsulates his work perfectly.
