So i've been reading random parts of the series a bunch, mainly rand chapters. Since its widely accepted that Taim isn't Demandred, or any of the male forsaken, i still think he has to be someone Lews Therin knew in the Age of Legends. Lots of his rages near Taim talk about killing someone he should have killed long ago, as if he knows taim from a prior time.

One theory i read about is that Taim had a voice in his head that took over his body when he escaped from the Aes Sedai, and that the voice belonged to Beidomon, the Aes Sedai who helped Mierin/Lanfear drill the Bore. I think its largely nonsense myself, but Taim is obviously more than just a simple darkfriend.

Those rages are because he didn't kill Taim when he first met him. He's definitely more than a simple darkfriend, he's a man who can channel nearly as much as Rand and has a small army of other ashamen helping him.

I think Taim went the way he did because Rand was such a dick to him, queue jealousy, and the promise of being in charge under the dark one.

The problem now is that Brandon Sanderson is taking his sweet time working on the first draft for A Memory of Light. So far he's on track to miss his release date and come out at least a year overdue.

Read like 5 of these books and gave up. I know many people love the WoT series, but I wasnt overly impressed with it.

I know that a lot of people don't know how to judge wordcounts. When I use wordcounts to say how long a book is, readers will often say "So...how many pages is that?" I'm never sure how to respond to this, because page counts can be rather variable. Typesetters can work some real magic with font and layout to make a page count come out the way they want, which is why a lot of industry professionals end up using wordcount instead. (Of course there are also a variety of ways of arriving at Wordcount, depending on how you count...)

Anyway, I figured that I would come up with a list of books by myself and Mr. Jordan, give their wordcounts, then periodically place where this book fits into the list by comparison. Maybe that will help place where this book fits in so far.

Or at least when it sucks ass because he can't possibly manage to tie up the millions of loose ends Jordan left(without blowing up the world? <---possible solution), we can feel justified in our unbridled rage.
