| I just finished Elantris, and I loved it. I suppose the concept wasn't totally unique - a lost civilization being reclaimed sort of thing, whatever - but it was very well written, and the characters were very likable. I read it in two sittings, and I have to say, I wish there was more. Though, I usually do, with any series I've enjoyed - I miss the characters. Haven't started on Mistborn yet, but I have the books, just need to sit down and get to 'em. |

+3 Internets | BTW Sanderson has been slowly editing up a creative commons novel called Warbreaker, you can download it (for free) off his website. Its quite good. though do to the nature of the project you'll have to live with the occasional typo.

| ETA for book 3 of Mistborn? I'd like to start reading this series. He's far from on my hardback purchase list, though, so I'm going to wait until the first two are in mass market format. (And I assume Book 3 will come out around the time book 2 hits paperback.) |

| A post in support of CoT is not a way to win fans. CoT was inarguably terrible. It could have been condensed to two chapters. Knife of Dreams on the other hand wasn't too bad. It wasn't great, but it was the best we've seen since book seven. Ah well, we'll see how this turns out. |

+3 Internets | The problem with CoT is that it was the first half of a whole book, it took 4 years to be released creating a lot of build up for it, and it was a boring half at that (outside of Mat). It remains one of the most glaring examples of what not to do for the genre. Sanderson is also calling it book 11 which is weird...

| I liked book 10, except for how saidin was "cleansed"...the whole sending it all into Shadar Logoth just didn't make sense with what that old philosopher told Rand (though maybe only Min might have really understood him). |
