Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

You can definitely see Rand's slow descent into madness - especially with his outburst at the end. It's somewhat of a relief that he's not blind (yet?) and I'm more interested in learning more about the new sword he picked up.

The writing style is different. But if AMOL is that big requiring 3 volumes, I can forgive Sanderson for being more direct in his appproach. I've only waited almost 15 years for this series to conclude.

Fucking epic.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Yes, Lews Therin said. We need to stay away from all of them. They refused to help us, you know. Refused! Said my plan was too reckless. That left me with only the Hundred Companions, no women to form a circle. Traitors! This is their fault. But . . . but I’m the one who killed Ilyena. Why?

Nynaeve said something, but Rand ignored her. Lews Therin? he said to the voice. What was it you did? The women wouldn’t help? Why?

But Lews Therin had begun sobbing again, and his voice grew distant.

“Tell me!” Rand yelled, throwing his cup down. “Burn you, Kinslayer! Speak to me!”

Oh man, it's like being off alcohol for 5 years and then a sip passes your lips.

Really want to read this, but it's been years since I read the series and I never even bothered with Knife of Dreams. Maybe I'll just pull a condensed version off wikipedia and call it a day.

If you made it through Crossroads, do yourself a favor and read Knife of Dreams. It is much better and actually worth reading.

Did Crossroads come before or after Winter's Heart? That was the last one I read and I really enjoyed it. The cleansing of saidin was bad ass.

Gonna have to re-read the whole series over the next month to refresh my memory.

knife of dreams is way better than crossroads.

I'm pretty sure I never read Crossroads. Can I pretty much just skip it or is there anything important that happens?

You can skip Crossroads. It's only Winter's Heart and Knife of Dreams that really where the really good shit goes down.

Pretty good chapter. I think Sanderson remained close to Jordan's voice. Looking forward to reading the whole book.

I'd read a summary of what goes on in Crossroads - don't just skip it entirely. It's pretty awful though.

Wonder how fast the Audiobook will be released, listen to them in the office when I get to lock my door, pretty relaxing!
