Edit: My guesses on the captains? Mayuri to handle Szayel. and Komamura handling the black dude.

Yeah about time. I thought Nel was gonna be the saviour, kick some ass - then end lead Ichicho and Ori out of Huendo (after swinging by to save the others). Oh well.

I'm a quivering mass of fangirl at the thought of Zaraki Kenpachi, his awesome obliterates my own masculinity.

That being said, this could also be Ichigo's "Let's go to imagination land and work out my psychic inhibitions with my lovely psyche partners, the Murderfriends Gang" pep-talk in order to go Over 9,000 again.

If it isn't, however, I'll be ludicrously happy for Kenpachi being there.

Also, WTB Them actually cutting off Rukia and Chad's heads...

and then Chad going hollow since he's there physically, not a spirit-form....

and being captured...

and turned into an arrancar by the hougyok-thing to fight against Ichigo.

Chad didn't have a choice. The 5th espada came and pwnt him in the head after his fight with the armadillo dude.

I'm kind of sad Ishida getting pwnt so badly Szayel but that's to be expected when you have your internal organs crushed. Don't forget Szayel had all the information to analyze their power while Ishida/Renji didn't. If Ishida were to fight Szayel again I am going to say Ishida will beat Szayel even in his released form.

I think Byakuya is going to fight the black dude because he likes to protect his sister. Considering the black dude is one of the top 3 espadas (probably 2nd or 3rd, the old guy is more than likely 1st), you'd need a higher level captain to fight him. This will also show that captains are not useless and Ichigo is massively overrated.

That's funny, I have a different translation for the final page - something along the lines of "Are you going to let this piece of bacon kill you?" or something like that, I really should d/l the chapter over again and post the final page. It was pretty awesome in a Zaraki way.

I've noticed too how similar this arc is to the Soul Society one.. painfully so at times.. I guess I can't really expect much, but I'd hoped most of the elite in Hueco Mundo would be a bit more bad ass. What new enemy are they going to pull out of their ass now?!

Oh and I go to Tokyo Toshokan, I recommend it highly for all sorts of anime/manga.
