Looks as if it's gonna be an even bigger fight now. Jesus, Bleach's stretches of fighting has probably gone on longer than Naruto.

I'm wondering how Urahara / Isshin, and the Viazards will be drawn into the big brawl. Hopefully not in a way that has them come to the rescue of the SS crew. Also, I really hope the old Espada isn't #1...that would be blah.

Why is everyone I see on the internet so against the Barragan being #1? He is old and has a damned crown and so is the only character you can logically guess to be #1 until we get more info.

I can't see how a character that has been in two chapters before the current events (Stark) has amassed such an army of fanboys wanting him to be #1. He's been a fairly boring character so far. It'll be far more interesting if Barragan was #1 and has some kinda "King of Heuco Mundo" backstory, or if Halibel was #1 because she is female which at least is slightly unusual.

Meh maybe the forums I go to for spoilers is just full of retards.


Looking at how the bad guys have been organised into groups the last 2 arcs, with the captains and espada... I can't help feeling that the vaisards are going to turn out to be bad guys in the end.
Either that or Aizen will make a new espada for them to fight. Otherwise they are redundant characters.

Because the Hueco Mundo arc is already basically a rehash of the Soul Society arc. If Baragan is the #1 Espada, it'll look like Kubo ran out of creativity and just said, "Hey, an old guy is the strongest captain, I guess the strongest Espada will be an old guy too."

Well I don't mind it being someone else as long as they are badass, just don't get the crazy Stark love!

Your right about the parallels between SS and Heuco Mundo, you can match every captain to an espada with a similar personality. It does worry me slightly so there's better be some carnage to make it worth it!

I think it's almost sure thing that we are getting Yama vs Barragan / Halibel vs Soi Fon / Shunsi vs Stark. Only discrepancy is that it's looking like Aizen will fight Yama.
Maybe Barragan is #3 and gets one shot by Yama's Bankai, before Aizen takes over the fight and kills Yama.

Pretty hard to predict atm.

I wasn't slobbin' Stark's knob, I just wanted Lazy-Espada and Lazy-Captain to go off drinkin' whilst the others were fighting, because it would be humorous.

I'm still hoping the whole speculations floating around of Barragan being Chad's grandfather (thus opening possibilities of explaining Chad's hollow-like powers) come to fruition. Then again if he's just some old man Espada, that'd be ok too.

I haven't read the thread as I didn't want to be spoiled. But I've decided that I wanted to read the manga like I did with Naruto because I can't wait to know what happens anymore

So just two quick questions, hoping you can help me. I've followed the anime show, where does it pick up at in the manga (what chapter)?

And, where can I read it like the Naruto one?

There is going to be a "Gaiden Arc" which will last around 8 chapters, giving additional backstory before the big fight.

Read it all last night. Getting pretty interesting with Kenpachi and co. entering Hueco Mundo. The Nell -> Neliel part was a bit forced (and did she have to be, as every other god damn female in that series, so incredibly hot?!), as well as the two clowns having some powers as well. But thinking back perhaps one should have foreseen her to have a bigger role than just being the usual Ichigo-slut (sorta like the cute blonde girl from the previous arc who now is a doll).

So now it turns out that it'll be the one big fight, which of course will last atleast 100 chapters more or so with people never actually dying and finding new powers midfight all of a sudden. They did drag the Ichigo vs Grimmjow on for a bit too long imo. However reading above statement with some background story would only be really awesome. Like, really own. Because it'll hopefully involve the Vaizards a lot more this time, not that I care a lot about them, but I find that Ichigo is far from fully done with them in his development. I was hoping Kenpachi and co would come in, save the day and they'd flee and all go back and develop/train for a bit more, and then the big fight would be due. But as always, damn hard to figure anything out.

What is safe to say and what most already mentioned is how you can always mirror the captains/protagonists onto a certain amount of villains. It's usually a 1v1 or something. But imo Yama won't be the one fighting Aizen. Ichigo will probably end up doing it, or having a finger in the fight one way or another. Maybe he initially fights, gets owned, then 1-2 helps, gets owned, and Ichigo returns and saves the day. Most of all I hope that some of the Captains really just die out during this event and for all I care Chad, Ishida or whatever. It's too easy when the good guys always survive.

Most of all I hope for some Kisuke Uruhara action to be incoming.
