| I don't see how Kenpachi is going to live thru a fight with Noitra, considering his fight with Ichigo ended in a loss / draw...before Ichigo attained Bankai or Hoolow-integration (mask). It could be said that Ichigo was at full Bankai strength at the end of that fight, but that should still be weaker than a Masked Ichigo. Guess it depends on the difference in strength between Grimm - Noitra - Ulq, since Ichigo spanked Grimm, but got spanked by Ulq. However it ends, it should be a fun fight...with Noitra releasing. As for the other fights. Hm, I can see Byakua smashing the 7th (unless his release matches up very well with Bya's release). Mayuri looks pretty cool, and his fight with Syazel should be fun. I expect the 4th Captain to open a can of whoop-ass on those other arrancar if they decide to fight. |

| Well to be fair, even though the focus has been on Ichigo for this story, as he is the main character, we have to say that Kenpachi and crew have to have been training some at least. I mean, when was the last time Kenpachi even fought? Against Ichinose in the Bount Arc, and hell Ichigo if you don't include the Bount Arc. Since then he HAD to have become better, and the way I see it, as a Captain, and being part of the whole upper class of Soul Society, they probably have some bad ass efficient ass methods of training their officers. |

| Plus, Kenpachi WANTS to fight Ichigo again and knows that in order to defeat him he needs to get stronger. I honestly would be pissed if Ken pulled out a bankai though. Byakua will curb stop the arrancar he's facing, and probably come out of it with minimal injuries. Mayuri is just a twisted fuck, so he'll probably play with the arrancar just to see what they can do before killing his opponent. I don't think the 4th captain is going to fight, i think her Lt is going to keep their arrancar busy until she can heal up whoever is near her. |

I agree with you though, but I doubt the manga would spend much time, if any, on explaining how Kenpachi obtained Bankai (if he were to have that now). I'm more curious about how the Old Man gave orders to Urahara, considering Urahara was exiled from SS.

| New chapter is out - love the good old Bya arrogant banter. Once again, poor old #7 Espada...

+56 Internets | The "Gemero Sonido" section annoys me mildly. Ichigo, upon going bankai his first time, was able to make hundreds of images of himself. And yet, everyone in existence can easily keep up with him now, it seems. And then the "fastest" speed according to Leroux only creates 5 after images? Meh. I'm starting to think Ichigo never actually obtained bankai. Just a psychological trick Yoruichi pulled on him to convince him he could win. She prolly just flash-steps in and changes his clothes when he screams bankai, heh. (kidding, of course) It ~is~ odd that Ichigo's bankai was basically "Okay, well, I sucked ass at reiatsu control...all my bankai does is condense my reiatsu and stop be from leaking like an idiot" when everyone else's bankai does extremely wierd things. I dunno, just...meh. Superspeed just leads to retarded one-upmanship that *has* to happen or else fights end on the first hit anyway.

As for his bankai being so small remember also that Byakuya was pretty disbelieving as well that someone could have such a weak looking and small bankai.

| Go Dawgs! | So I found this on some forum. Supposedly the spoiler for 303 (it's in Japanese). Spoiler Alert, click show to read: Tried running it through a translator and from what I can tell, Mayuri and Szayel trash talk each other, but something happens and everyone is surprised. Cut to Byakuya, who is being healed along with Hanatarou and Rukia. The old Espada suddenly appears, but is impaled through the chest when Gin comes up behind him and releases his sword. He smiles and the chapter ends. Two questions if this is true: 1) Did another one of the top 3 Espada (or even Tousen or Aizen) show up at the Mayuri fight? 2) Why the hell did Gin kill the old Espada? Is he betraying Aizen? (not likely) Are the 3 traitor captains killing off all the Espada to make room for the Vasto Lorde Espada Aizen has been hiding this whole time? |

I do not recall anyone showing up to the Aporro fight with Mayuri/Renji/Ishida/Nel's 2 flunkies. The only other thing I remember mentioned with the unknowned order of the top 3 Espada, was Halibel observing the Ichigo/Grimmjow fight. The Old Man and the Sleeping Espada were still MIA for everything else iirc. If Gin really does kill the Old Man Espada and betrays Aizen, color me suprised. I'm under the belief that Tousen will betray eventually (and/or have his Zanpaktou totally backfire on him and destroy him, seeing as how the one he uses is not his Zanpaktou) as from before (especially following Kenpachi's killing of the former 11th Captain to gain his spot) Tousen seemed like a noble person with good values. He's not one for violence, etc and thus never seemed like he fits in well with Aizen's goals and stance on the world. Then again, that whole setup of Tousen's 'good' character could have all just been to better shock us all when he went turncoat, and the whole 'obvious evilness' of Gin could serve as the same sort of shock value for when/if Gin turns back to the good side. We'll know soon enough. How long till 303 comes out? 1 more day?
