He wasn't in sage mode anymore. That 2nd rasenshuriken took him out of it. If you imagine everything happen in slow motion it's pretty believable.

The scene where he sits down with his dead father. And multiple mentions of where is he, and silence. And the group nursing Hinata, but not Kakashi.

Kakashi could be in some kind of charka depletion torpor which would explain the appearance of death to those well attuned to it. I'd give him a chance until there is a first person confirmation of death or a funeral.

It doesn't matter if someone drops a nuclear bomb on the character, unless they confirm that someone is truly dead, they aren't dead 101% of the time.

Heh, sure thing.

Right now the filler is so shitty it looks intended. The anime is playing out like a bad dream where you want to do something but have to take care of something insignificant yet you can't seem to do it. Everything is in slow motion.

Also I see no evidence that Kakashi is dead. I'm not saying he isn't, but I predict that he will not be dead from this. If Harry Potter can go talk to Dumbledore in the afterlife, a character from a Shonnen manga sure as shit can.

Completely agree. My cousins keep arguing that he's dead, but they clearly dont have any sense of any literary style. That being said, you can't have two major characters die in one single arc, it just doesnt make any sense -- especially considering the way Jiraiya went out. How many times in other media have we seen characters fall into unconsciousness and "walk towards the light", only to turn back and return to the land of the living. And that's exactly what i expect Kakashi to do. Sit down and have a chat with his dad since he hasn't seen him in a while, then get up and say "sorry pops, i gotta go" and get revived by a slug or Tsunade.

However, one question that remains about kakashi is: where exactly did Pein aim when he shot that nail at him? Did it hit his Sharingan eye? If so, will he get a replacement? IF he is alive that is :/

I think he will lose his Sharingan eye, but speaking to his father will unlock some ability he had that will make up for it and without the drawbacks he suffers using Sharingan.

Not a bad theory, in my book, Grave. Atleast I'm still naive enough not to believe he's dead. Above comments tells why. But still, it's fucking hard to say tbh. Only time will tell. When it comes to it, the only thing is, he died so... "easily"... one way or another, Kakashi would have deserved a better end. I had a hard time believing Jiraya's, but it makes sense now. Perhaps in 20 chapters Kakashi's is justified aswell. Shrug.
