Nah, there is no precedent for this in Naruto at least, the evil usually are evil. I do agree that he will probably reveal more even just a tidbit of info on the Madara situation and not necessarily for his benefit either.

Nothing has been said about why Madara is still alive. Don't make the assumption that taking another Sharingan user's eye will/would have given Itachi eternal life. It makes the mangekyou "eternal" in the sense that you no longer go blind when using it. Also, if you look, Madara's mangekyou was different after he took his brother's eyes. Do you honestly think they would've spent so much time on little-"dead" (Leaving a dying person behind pretty much guarantees, no matter what happens, they'll show up later alive)-uchiha Tobi if he *wasn't* going to be used in the future?

Once "Madara" removes his mask and has both eyes, then I'll discard it, but until then, Crazy Tobi is Crazy.

Him virtually dead with his body crushed should be a give away. Also Tobi calling himself Madara and teaching Itachi shit only Madara would know reinforces that.

Obito was a shitty ninja, theres no way he grew up to be freakishly strong and defeat the entire Uchiha police force.

I mean, his brother already had MS as well, one would assume that his brother was going blind as well, although not as "fast" as Madara because he probably didn't use them as violently nor frequently. Same could be applied to Itachi wanting Sasuke's, it seems to me he had hoped for Sasuke to have obtained MS as well. Also, how did Sasuke's non-MS eyes resist the MS? Due to the bloodline/brother relation in general, or? I also can't believe that Jiraiya is dead. It seemed to be that Tsunade in the end, before Jiraiya left for that village with Natago (sp?), she seemed very passionate about him. Like she was about to confess that she really did love him or something like that. The manga with Jiraiya dying in the water did make it seem like he was gone for good, however something just tells me he passed his lifeforce onto that frog instead of only that secret, but dunno, I'm prolly just a bit naive. Gotta love Jiraiya. And anyway, what was that secret - what was the guy's identity anyhow? This is basically confirmed by Itachi. What Itachi wanted were the eyes of Sasuke so he can gain those abilities. It also seems Mangekyou follows the user and not the eyes. If you look, after Madara took his brother's eye, his Mangekyou is the same as before. Of course this is just speculation.
