There's only been a couple issues where this fight is actually involved, and it's basically one of the "big ones" for the series. I'd almost bet money that Sasuke isn't done yet. Blind Sasuke sounds cool and all, but he's gonna need a bit of a powerup to compete fully with Pein/Madara, especially if Itachi is still that much better than him. I think it would be tight if Sasuke lost an eye but replaced it by the end of the fight with one of Itachi's, which would give him a power boost and it wouldn't completely end the itachi arc.

If it gets cheesed with Itachi just making Sasuke blind and Sasuke being blind emo wanderer for the majority of this year, it will be a sad sad day in naruto land.

I wonder if Kakashi's Mangekyo will prove to have a bigger purpose in the coming issues. I mean, back in the day when we first saw Itachi murder his clan, he claimed that if Sasuke obtained Mangekyo, he would be the 3rd to do so. Of course, we all thought that meant Itachi knew about Kakashi, but with his latest revelation of it being Madara, perhaps Kakashi's Mangekyo will prove to be an ace in the hole of sorts.

That is one of my biggest irks with the series currently. I understand waiting awhile to reveal something, but in this case it bugs me more than usual for some reason. I want an explanation.

That, and why Tobi acted like a retard for comedy relief (which I liked) and then turned out to be the ultra-badass Madara. I'm still scratching my head at that one.

Kakashi doesn't have mangekyo at all. He has a new type of sharingan he developed on his own that manipulates time and space.

1. He never claimed it was mangekyou to my knowledge, and this is from the anime and the manga. 2. It has a distinctly unique pattern that is different from Itachi's. 3. If memory serves, he specifically said it was a new eye technique he had developed, which would preclude it being the mangekyou.

LOL do you actually read the manga? Itachi already confirmed Kakashi has the Mangekyou.

Also, compare Madara's Mangekyou to his brothers. You'll notice they aren't the same. Also, Mangekyou is a new "eye" technique along with his alter time jutsu.


My prediction is that Sasuke will lose 1 eye and someone comes and saves him. Later in the Manga before Kakashi dies he will give him is Sharingan.

Not Exactly. Itachi's has a bit of a curve, while Madara's brother is straight, as you can see in the combination eye (also Itachi's and Kakashi's):

btw wikipedia says

Over the generations other Uchiha came to possess their own Mangekyo Sharingan,[44] though Madara, Itachi Uchiha, and Kakashi Hatake are the only characters to possess it in the current Naruto storyline.

Itachi tells his brother, Sasuke Uchiha, that the Mangekyo Sharingan can be gained by killing one's closest friend.[47] Though Itachi and many other Uchiha have done this to obtain their versions, Kakashi is unlikely to have done the same; Kakashi states at the start of the series that all of his friends are dead, and it is not until the gap in time between Part I and II that he develops his own. What Kakashi did to obtain his own Mangekyo Sharingan remains unknown.
