Here is another book that I highly recommend. Not dealing exactly with atheism but rather the workings of the human brain and its relation/non-relation to our modern computer technology. Very good book.

I am going through my KJV, NIV and AS bible trying to glean this amazing concept that I must have missed the first 10 or or so times I read these books. Here is another great author that, while having little/nothing to do with atheism, has written some great books on the field of theoretical physics.

Galations 3 also the majority of the chapter for context. They both say cut and dry how the law is still there but isn't our basis anymore. That you will as a result of having a changed life naturally follow them and desire to be moral.

| Oh yeah.. I haven't seen it mentioned here, but if you get a bit tired of the serious stuff, you can always pick up the Gospel of the Flying Spaghetti Monster for some laughs. More info: Official Website Wiki Article RAMEN! |

+26 Internets | Has anyone here read Amazon.com: Phantoms in the Brain: Probing the Mysteries of the Human Mind: Books: V. S. Ramachandran,Sandra Blakeslee,Oliver Sacks ? I'm about 3 quarters into it and it is truly fascinating. If anyone else has read it, I would really like your feedback on the book. When I finish it, I would like to post a couple of excerpts. I would right now, but I don't have the time to do so. |

+69 Internets | Righteous-Dispatches from the Evangelical Youth Movement Great book about how the youth of America are being targeting by evangelical mega-churches and how the young then work to recruit more. Think of it like "Jesus Camp", but instead of young children it's for teenagers/young adults. It gives some great insight into how evangelicals (the fastest growing christian denomination) see the future of America. |

Just because one or two large churches do something crazy does not mean the vast majority of evangelicals believe in it. I, being a Christian, have no desire to do mass "recruiting" efforts. I present the facts to the people that I see ready in my life and live my life well so that when people have questions knowing that I am a Christian they know who to ask. They also know I don't pretend to know everything about it and am willing to debate unmenacingly.

Every single evangelical church website I have been too has some refrence or link to the NAE. Most even quote the entire charter as their core beliefs. The Meme Machine by Susan Blackmore with forward by Richard Dawkins.

| I only browsed the replies - sorry if someone else already linked it: Amazon.com: Misquoting Jesus: The Story Behind Who Changed the Bible and Why (Plus): Books: Bart D. Ehrman Bart Ehrman is a professor of religious studies at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I know almost nothing about the Bible so I can't speak for the accuracy of it, but it's a unique book. |

+26 Internets | Not going to put this on the front page yet, because I haven't read them, but I was recommended it, so I'll just pass it along.
I just wanted to thank Tea on Tuesday for:
I'm really enjoying it. I'm a bit more than halfway through it. This book should be required reading in Junior High+. |
