| Seems alot of the ones I want to get are older so they dont have some of the issues at the local comic shop. Going to either order them or look into the trade paper backs if they are available. In the meantime I picked up quite a few of available comics in the World War Hulk series. Was told that quite a few are coming out next week. Hate having to buy single issues of other comics for story continuity, but its probably good business for Marvel. Enjoying them so far. This will probably lead to me getting the Planet Hulk series as well lol. Even got me some bags/boards and a box to keep them in. #6 of the Gunslinger comics was out. (Still need to read the rest. Read the first one and have just been putting the other off...will probably wait till 7 is out to finish it up. There was a GI Joe comic that had a cool cover. Was all (as far as I know) of the GI Joes taking up both the front and back like a class picture.

+5 Internets | I highly recommend the Planet Hulk Trade. It's like 40 bucks for the hardcover, but it is over a year of books. As far as cross overs, you can really get Incredible Hulk and then the World War Hulk and Frontlines and probably get like 90% of the story. When I was picking up my books yesterday, I grabbed one called Faker that looked interesting. About someone who appears that only a few people remember. First book was kinda Meh, but I'll at least get the next to see where the story goes. Also saw a new 30 Days of Night miniseries is starting in August called Red Snow with Ben Templesmith back as the artist. Takes place in 1941 with nazis and vampires. Makes me long for release City of Heroes. Last edited by Angerz; 07-12-2007 at 10:31 PM.. |

| cool...ill add the plane hulk hardcover to my list ![]() I liked all the World War Hulk comics I bought except for The Irredeemable Ant Man. Maybe I just dont get the character (never even heard of him till now) but I cant believe that there is a comic based on this guy. Most of the others in the series were all just showing the same thing from different view points. World War Hulk: Gamma Corps could be good, and I'll probably end up getting them all (4 total) as they come out, but its looking kinda lame. Read The Boys #7 and 8 and they were okay. Hoping for more from #9.

| Havent picked up a comic since the early 90s when it all went to hell. Marvel and DC had a lot of pure shit put out then and Valiant was really the only good books out. I use to also read Bone, Poison Elves, Strangers in Paradise and my Gaiman Sandman stuff. Ive tried in recent years to read some of the marvel stuff, but its just been pure shat. Marvel only cares about money not about putting out good books and DC really hasnt done much better. Bringing back the Valiant line would be great! I loved Solar, XO, and Eternal Warrior. Shame we dont see books with good stories coming back anymore. Although, Valiant were also caught up in doing the ignorant variant covers and silly crossovers. Unity was really good, though. |

| I got into Powers. It is great. Just finished V1. It really reminded me of the excellent Sam & Twitch comics. Regular cops in a world with super-heroes... Bendis actually worked on S&T for a while. Best thing out of the Spawn franchise. |

| Marvel 2.0 is despite all its fuckups is becoming really interesting. I am happy they decided to "deviate" from the usual shitty "redraw 1970s". House of M was incredible. Civil War had a lot of potential but ended up too disperssed. Kill Cap (if it stays that way) is a really awesome move. Decimation/Endangered Species are a nice idea for Xmen. But i really really look foward to World War Hulk. What they really need to do is to stop having 3 separate timelines for every series. I like Crossovers & Elseworlds... But having 4 different X-men, 3 Batman, 3 Superman (i know thats DC). Is just bullshit. ONE world with ONE STORY. It seems that this is what they are slowly doing.. Regrouping Hulk / Cap / Iron Man / Xmen in one "real world" and sticking with it. As much as you may love X-men having Ultimate X-Men & Uncanny X-Men & X-Men is just bullshit. ONE WORLD, ONE STORY. |

| I hope they don't fuck it up For now am not going to expect something awesome so I don't end up disappointed Am going to assume the ending is Sentry shows up, tells the Hulk "OK Hulk that's it, stop it you're being silly" followed by them holding hands and walking away happily ever after into the sunset See? am not setting myself up for disappointment! ![]() |
