+7 Internets | I pretty much can promise you that he's not dead. The quote they released said he "appears" to die. I think he knew the whole Civil war thing was far too political for him to do what needed to be done. He'll come back, possibly disguised, and wreak vengence upon Tony Stark. Watch out for some "new" hero showing up, with underground political-ish actions to undermine Iron Man.

+1 Internets | Comic Book Resources - CBR News: Captain America = Dead: Quesada talks Issue #25 ^ looks pretty dead to me. It's astonishing how Joe Quesada acts like he has no knowledge of his own characters. Wolverine more recognizable than Captain America? Hardly. EVERYONE in America knows Captain America. Ask anyone who doesn't read comics over the age of 30 who Wolverine is and if they can even tell you, they'd equate it to Hugh Jackman. |

| Joe Quesada is a stupid fat fuck who can't write (Ash was awful) and who draws slower than I get laid. He did, however, get to actually make out with Eliza Dushku in Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, so I do have to give him props for that. |

| Whatever he'll be back in a few months. This bullshit need to kill people off to be edgy or whatever they're thinking is asinine. How about you just tell a good story that doesn't suck dick? Bonus points if it doesn't require a 12+ month event over 10 different books to carry it out. WTB old school annuals and throw these event stories into those. Leave my core books alone please. |

+1 Internets | I had actually never read Watchmen until the other day, I read it because I saw the movie thread and figured what the hell, also picked up all the issues of 52 from DC but I really haven't had a chance to read those. Watchmen was amazing of course, I can't believe I never read it until now, I always knew Moore was good but he was really ahead of hsi time with that one. I had a chance to read the Jim Shooter interview posted earlier. That's really enlightening. The only way I can see the industry fixing itself if having someone in charge of the major studios who is less concerned with quick profit and more concerned with producing quality product. I wonder, in that interview Shooter said that Marvel basically owed 220 million the vast majority of which was gone and would have to borrow even more money to float itself, eventually spiraling into bankrupcy. Did the Spiderman movie turn it around or something? Or are they still in the same predicament? BTW I read somewhere that the Punisher will be the next Captain America. lawl at the death of the american dream. |

+11 Internets | Planet Hulk has been pretty cool if you are a Hulk fan at all. Hard to beat Hulk as a gladiator. On a planet where he's not going to be viewed as a horrible monster when he wrecks shit. It's maybe slowed down a little near the end of the arc(I think), but it's still good. Well done. They've introduced some interesting characters/races.

| My problem with the Planet Hulk story is it was already done in a far better way back in the early 80s when the Hulk was exiled to the (I believe) Microverse. I remember one EXCELLENT story with this parasite grafted to the Hulk's back. |

| what i dont get is.....hulk is forced to become a sort of gladiator? i cant see him being eslaved and fight for his freedom like russel crow. he should litterally obliterate anyone i mean, hulk was able to fight massive ammount of Kree soldiers (and the normal Kree is a 20Tons level being) and win. and Kree are one of the 4 major empires in the marvel univerce

+11 Internets | Except the portal/whatever fucked his shit up and weakened him significantly. As it goes on his strength comes back more and more.
