I hate to knock on your ruthless self promotion but the thought of comparing unrelated books in different genres, in the manner of sports teams, just drives me up the wall. Furthermore most posts have a short explanation of the book, which is baffling. Why would you be voting for a book you haven't read?

And honestly, Hitchhiker's guide vs. sword of shannara? nigger please.

What if you don't particularly like fantasy books? Do static-history texts count?

This thread sucks.

I mean it is in the book section after all. Random match ups. Hey I think it is a fun idea to get to talk about books. Seems a lot of people are always looking for what to read so the 2006 one gives people the opportunity to find a good next read.

The idea is kind of cool, but without an actual bracket its hard to really want to click on every thread
