[Manga] One Piece - Spoilers up to the most recent Chapter.

It had been brought up in the Naruto and Bleach manga threads that a couple people where interested in One Piece, I don't read the manga weekly but have read through the Thriller Bark arc which is what is currently being aired, and is pretty kick ass. So someone else will need to catch us up on spoilers. Either way the Thriller Bark shit is kick ass as previously stated.

Currently on the show the strawhat crew is fighting Oz (Luffy's Shadow) and Bartholomew Kuma just showed up on the Island so all hell is about the break loose in the next few shows with many a badass fight based off the manga.

Well the balls rolling lets see what you all got.

Thank you for making this, I was planning on doing it just never got around to it. With that being said, here are some links that will be helpful for people getting into the manga. If you don't want to start reading from the latest Arc I suggest you start with Arabasta arc, that's if you are unable to deal with starting from the very beginning. (You will miss a lot if you don't start from the beginning but the best action come from Arabasta, Enies Lobby, Skypiea)

To me One Piece is the best running anime to watch. Sure its long as all hell however I've possibly rewatched the fights 4-6 times if not more because its that fuckin hot. CP9 fight > all

I'm currently watching One Piece slowly and I'm on episode 260 at the moment (skipping the filler). It's a decent anime as far as Shōnen goes. It's got some silly ass characters that it could have done with out, but over all its got the addictive quality of the good Shōnen animes out there.

I will pick up the Manga once I catch up to release.

I can't even remember not liking a single chapter since the start of the Water 7 arc. This manga just keeps on topping itself every week.

Man, seeing the entire crew defeated, and sent to who knows where, was something I didn't see coming. I wonder how Luffy will handle this. He seemed devastated by this, even more so then after the battle with Aokiji.

The 3 day period does match up perfectly with the 3 days Rayleigh needed to fix the coating for the Sunny though. But I just can't see Oda copping out with the entire crew appearing at the ship like nothing happened.

One Piece is definitely different from the stereotypical shonen. The last chapter proves it too, but I have a feeling we won't hear about Straw Hats for couple more chapters next few coming out will be about Kid and Law.

I stopped reading the manga when they arrived to Thriller Bark. I have no idea why I stopped, I think because I just forgot to read it. I have been watching the anime and Vega Punk finally released scripts and softsubs for it.

I am glad someone made this thread. This anime beats Naruto, Bleach, and all that other gay shit by FAR.

The manga can be hard to keep up with sometimes and I wasn't really into it when I first started watching the anime, when I got to latest episode I started reading the manga so I could satisfy my thirst for more One Piece.

And I do agree with you, One Piece > Naruto Bleach, One Piece got screwed over when it came to dubbing and didn't have a chance to get popular within the US. The japanese voice acting for One Piece is so much more intense and raw that I even get goosebumps watching it. And perhaps the most redeeming fact about One Piece is it's truley the only anime that has me laugh out loud.

Yeah, One Piece actively impresses me with its comedy and its seriousness. Did you see the episode where they're in Thriller Bark and Usopp purposely tells Sanji that Absalom has seen Nami naked? He literally goes SSJ (Oda -- the creator of One Piece -- is a huge fan of Toriyama's DBZ).

Yeah I have, all the characters independently are funny in there own ways. Even serious characters like Robin is funny, especially when it came to Pirate Docking for fighting Odz in Thriller Bark. No, the chapter was mostly based off where Luffy had landed. Kuma supposedly is in control of where he sends people off to so I could only assume he send them all to the same island. Although Zoro is in serious bad shape so I have no clue where Kuma would send him. It was pretty apparent though that Kuma is a mutual friend of the Straw Hats though.

And expect Luffy to get some kind of powerup coming from this island; whether, through self training or learning something from the island. My main train of thought behind this is because the past few chapters showed how helpless he is when it comes to protecting his Nakama from PX-1 and Admiral Kizaru. The last time Luffy got a powerup was after he had met Aokji for the first time.
