+4 Internets | The biggest issue I have with w40k books in general is finding some of them. I have all but the first of the space wolf series, and the only way I can find to get it is to buy the omnibus edition. That being said, I didnt know there was a new grey knight book coming out, so thanks for the headsup. Will pick that one up for something to read after I finish the new horus heresy one. |

| I have almost every 40k book and have read almost all of them. While I dearly love the overall setting, most of the stuff is just pulp. I mean, it's better than say, Forgotten Realms or Dragonlance or Star Trek books, but most of the authors are terrible. If you can afford to pay the hefty prices and want to track them down, pick up Execution Hour and Shadow Point by Gordon Rennie. Two excellent 40k novels, it's too bad Rennie doesn't write for GW any more. I still think that the 40k universe is one of the best, if not the best, science fiction universe concept out there. It's so dark and gothic and depressing. However, GW's refusal to truly develop the universe or hire decent writers really pisses me off. A good writer who is allowed to advance the storyline in the 40k era would be able to write some sick science fiction. |

| Cry. Picked it and Fulgrim up earlier today. Mabye I'll get lucky and they will last me three days of work between them. Or maybe I'll start Fulgrim today and get to go to the book store tomorrow morning... Fuck books that aren't 1,000+ pages. Last edited by Taloo; 03-12-2008 at 01:34 AM.. |

+18 Internets | Finished all of the Horus Heresy books up to Descent of Angels. Having a really tough time advancing through it as it seems totally unrelated to the previous books thus far. It's weird, I both like and hate how these Heresy books repeatedly go over the same situations from different angles. It's neat, but at this point it's like "come on, move it forward!" It's like watching Dragonball Z in book form. I still like the series thus far. Legion just arrived in the mail, so we'll see how that is, assuming I can get through Descent of Angels. |

| Have quite the collection myself. Just finished The Inquisition war, which I didn't find that good of a read. There are many many others that I have enjoyed tho, Ravenor and Eisenhorn, Also Every space marine onimbus, Ultramarines, Blood Angels, Space Wolf( 3 other books after also), The Soul Drinkers. Not sure if I left any out but they are all worth a read. Also just picked up the first 3 of Ciaphas Cain series. |

| I picked up Fifteen Hours and got halfway though this piece of shit. I knew this was going to suck when the beginning pissed me off with the repetition of: "How long now, how many hours?" The books characters have no depth. The main character gets forced in the Imperial Guard, dropped on the wrong planet and has to fight for his life (but for what? He is bound to the Imperial Guard for the remainder of his life). However this book did make me notice that the animations for the Imperial Guard in Dawn of War are really well done. |

| Was not a fan of Descent of Angels. Just seemed out of place and kind of "oh shits stall the good stuff" thing. Guess I'm picking up Legion tomorrow but yeah needs to hurry the fuck up and get to Terra. Can tell me what color stuffed bunny rabbit each Primarch cuddled with after Emperor v Horus god damn you. |

| The books I want the most are the battle for calth (coming in august), the battle for signus prime (unannounced but absolutely critical to the development of sanguinius), the last stand at the eternity gate (very important part of the siege of terra, can't leave this out) and I would love to see a book about Roboute Guilliman and the Ultramarines as they hold the Imperium together and he transcribes the Codex Astartes. Not too hard to figure out which my favorite two chapters are.

| I wish the lazy fucks behind the lore in the DoW games would bother to read any of the fluff about the alpha legion before using them in every single game. 'RAWR BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD' in every single expansion seems pretty odd given that they are servants of chaos undivided.
