I've actually done the audiobooks, and they are good, but the only real logical time I can utilize them is on long car drives. Otherwise, I find books just much more handy and accessible.

Personally, I work. I do data entry, so everyone is chilling with headphones on. I quickly realized that I wouldn't be able to listen to the same music 40 hours a week or I'd go insane, so I went to audio books. I find the day goes by much, much faster with audio books than it does music.

Ive only read the first book so far, but I have to say my favorite characters at the moment are Tyrion, Jaime( love to hate him, though he is noble in his own way), Cersei ( love to hate her as well), and the Hound, I really hope he develops into something besides a lackey for that shit head kid, whom i hope dies a horrible slow painful death. I of course like the starks and want them to win the war against the Lannisters, but no particular character stands out for me except Ned who died sadly. I really liked Robert as well, he seems to kill off the characters I enjoy.

I've said it before but after watching prince caspian I an even more convinved that Peter Dinklage would make a perfect Tyrion.

In my head I always read it as "Ja-Ken" but my friend reads it as "Ja-Kwen" and according to the one forum post I can find on the matter, it is said "Ja-Keen."
