| So I DL'd the Civil War series up to where it's currently at and I must say it's pretty bad ass. Definately recommend it to anyone, even if you aren't a comic reader / collector. It's a really good story. Planet Hulk is pretty bad ass too, especially the Hulk: End thing where Hulk ends up being the last thing alive on Earth. |

| as far as great stories goes, the current daredevil series is great (volume 2). the wolverine (vol. 3) and punisher (vol 5) are both very good as well. the common theme between these 3...all of the storylines are very mature. hard to go back and read the stuff from the early 90s after reading these comics. someone mentioned the ultimate universe and will second that. ultimates and ultimates 2 are great. there is a series out, ultimate wolverine vs hulk that has promise, but is taking forever to release new issues. i could go on and on... |

+12 Internets | Ultimate WOlverine vs. Hulk is only supposed to be a 3 issue thing I believe. 3rd issue was originally due out months ago and got delayed. Last I saw it was supposed to be out in May according to Marvel's site and it still isn't out. In the latest Ultimates issue Hulk showed up and kinda alluded to the Vs. story like it was done. Kinda annoying. And Hulk: The End(or whatever) was pretty awesome. It's in the newest Giant Sized incredible Hulk for anyone looking. I definately have to get started on the new Daredevils. Few people I trust have all recommended it. Even though I'm not a big DD fan I'll need to give it a shot.

+12 Internets | They made an appearance in Ultimate Fantastic Four. Pretty sure it was the introduction of the zombies. pretty cool stuff. Haven't read Zombies yet though.

| After finishing Civil War through july (and sitting here dying to read the rest of it) I started getting crazy with it...im now 2/3 of the way through House of M which is seriously great too. I definately recommend that series as well. It's really cool to sort of see the Marvel world turned upseide down, kind of like a really big long What If issue. |

| Finished House of M but can anyone who actually follows these issues week to week tell me: What happened between House of M and now (Civil War)? I get that the 198 is the 198 mutants that are left, but I guess the big question is in the last panel of the final issue of House of M you see an explosion...what was that / what signifigance did it have? |

+12 Internets | edit: Ohhh I see what ya meant. New Avengers 17-20(right up to Civil War) deal with the explosion=) Or if you just want it spoiled.... All the mutant powers that Scarlet Witch got rid of had to go somewhere. A mutant in Alaska who absorbs others powers somehow attracted all of them to him from...uhh...space I guess, and absorbed the powers of *every* mutant who lost them. He basically procedes to murder Alpha Flight and anything else in his way for awhile. Think he ended up in Genosha where he finally got himself under control.

| Does anyone know who the hell this is? It's a toy from BK that showed up at the place I work randomly and is sitting on one of the machines, and nobody knows who it is. He has a little click button on the back that makes his hands move and a sword that says Stan Lee Media and Ken(something) Enterprises on it |

| I've been surprised at the consistent quality of 52. Although I do not like what they did to the question one bit, some of the storylines (the Black Adam and Booster Gold storylines in particular) are quite a good read and I recommend 52. Fables is quite an excellent read. While Willingham sucks cock at cape books, this series has been consistently very good with only a few poor issues (cough Bigby Wolf World War 2). Greatly recommended. The Book of Lost Souls (for when it starts up again) by JMS is also going in an interesting direction. Reads like a blend of Midnight Nation and Sandman. The Ultimates... Is an amazing book. Incredibly slow to come out (owing to Mark Millar being incredibly ill), it reads like a well written summer blockbuster movie, and I cannot possibly more highly recommend it. Civil War is proving to be pretty good. I don't get the hard-on most people seem to, and the writers are really pushing the anti-registration side rather than making it a balanced equation, but it's an okay read. Hulk is pretty good right now, not awesome but quite a solid read, and a good take on Hulk's character. Ex Machina (politics with super powers!) is consistently interesting, with fairly good dialogue and action (what little there is) that keeps you interested when the politics bores you. Squadron Supreme is progressing very nicely. For a little while I thought JMS had lost it when it changed from the Supreme Power title to Squadron Supreme and it started reading like any other cape book, but now it's coming along well. Still a bit more of a formulaic cape book than it once was, but nevertheless an awesome read. Blue Beetle is proving a surprisingly interesting read, given the sometimes-shitty premises used for characters. Eternals still needs to prove itself, started out interesting but otherwise hasn't grabbed my imagination yet. Lift your game Gaiman, I expect more. +12 Internets | Just quick bump for a site I stumbled on http://www.dcpsearch.co.uk/ Basically a search engine for all the DCP torrents out there. Handy for finding individual comics in each torrent.

+3 Internets | Anyone have the scoop on why Civil War #4 has been pushed back a month and #5 an additional month after that? I've heard it suggested maybe editors got bothered by some happenings in #4 and they had to rewrite/draw a bunch in #4 and all the later issues to deal with this "toning down". I've also heard it suggested that Marvel is just disorganized slackers too, so who knows. Anyone have better info? |
