| Rape is pretty much how it gets done in the rest of the animal kingdom - I doubt lions and zebras practice long courtship periods. Did I just compare blacks to animals? Maybe I did. P.S. Although white colonialists "raped" the land of South Africa for 400 years - I doubt they were teaching them how to rape women. Like jayrebb pointed out, that sort of thing is just culturally accepted there amongst the "Zulus" |

| I have read it, and I'm not the only one who has problems with the book. Its not God's gift to man about why whitey is doing so well. There's certainly plenty of criticism for it. Additionally, the "1 in 4" statistic is bogus. Its one thing for 1 in 4 MEN to admit they raped a woman, and something completely different to say 1 in 4 women have been raped. Rape Statistics: Are 1 in 4 women raped? Skeptical analysis. | AspiringEconomist.com is an interesting read. Specifically, "Have you had sexual intercourse when you didn’t want to because a man gave you alcohol or drugs? An affirmative answer was counted as rape. In other words, a women who regretted a one night stand after a night of drinking was considered as having been sexually assaulted. The ambiguous nature of the questions and inclusive definition of rape is evident from the following statistics. Only 27 percent of the women Koss counted as having been raped identified themselves as rape victims." So OF the alleged 1 in 4, about 1 in 4 OF THOSE think they were raped, and the rest don't think so. If you don't think you were raped, shouldn't we say...you probably weren't? |

mammal reproductive sex is consensual most of the time, getting some is just a lot easier even than picking up some ho at a bar.

| Yeah I've never seen rape on an animal documentary, either there's some hierarchy or other method where female chooses the strongest mate. There are probably a few species like that (I think ducks or something reproduce via gang rape?), but generally there's some kinda alpha male/female or mating ritual thing. |

Wow, I'm amazed how many scientists are against the view of rape in animals on the moral grounds that it some how legitimizes it in humans. That's a pretty clouded viewpoint going against the scientific method. Last edited by brekk; 12-13-2009 at 02:10 PM..
