The comparisons logic is that there is no justice and Polanski could have easily been water under the bridge with current international law. There have been multiple threads on this forum about how big of a monster Polanski was but break it down and compare him to people deserving this level of international attention and what he did amounts to pissing in the ocean.

This entire case is decades of media hype bullshit. It's wasting legal resources and drawing public attention from legitimate issues where people are deserving of extradition who are still real threats to the international community are running around unscathed.

I just did a search for child molesters in my area, there were over 30 pages. On the first page alone there were like 10 who were indecent with a child under 16. People fuck kids, stop wasting so much god damn time on this guy.

Maybe in the fairy tale world of ideals where you live but here in reality we have limited resources to go after real criminals.

My reasoning is perfectly sound, I'm simply calling for a measured response based on severity of the crime. It sounds basic but ol' Polanski here proves our legal system doesn't work that way.

Here media hype measures of what warrants public attention. More paper has been pushed fucking with this 30 year past single case of child molestation than what was put into pinning Nikola Jorgic for Bosnia.
