| Here you can buy a $40,000 leatherman tool. Most expensive Leatherman ever costs $40,000 - SlipperyBrick.com I have a radio that's crank powered with a light on it as well. Works great during our extended power outages and as a bonus comes with adapters to charge cell phones with the crank as well. Well worth the $9 or whatever I paid for it. |

| I carry a full set of allen keys (bicycle enthusiast here but oddly useful on some rare occasions) and an old-school mega swiss-army knife thing (techie version) at all times. That plus the universal screwdriver and angle-needle-nose get me through computer stuff which is what tools generally do for me. I guess I do carry the cat5 tester, crimper and spicer sometimes but never when I actually would need it. Wtf, bill by the hour and all plus I shouldn't technically be needing to cable crap. The vehicle has a hammer, bolt cutters and a hydro jack too I guess but they don't come in handy as often. |

| Do any of you guys prefer Gerber Tools over a Leatherman? I know the "snick" feature is almost gimmicky, but they're great tools.

+33 Internets | MSR MSR® Stoves, Cookware, Tents, Camp Towels, Water Filtration, Hydration and Snowshoes. Check out specifically the camp stoves. Mine will boil water in around 4 min. Runs off basically any combustible liquid basic car fuel works just fine. Weighs practically nothing and folds up into a bag about the size of a softball, anyone that spends anytime outdoors in boats or what have you should have one. Mine is either with me out and about or in my car. |

+65 Internets | Maybe they've come up with some amazing technical advances in crank powered flashlights, but my experience with them has been piss poor. Just go with a good quality head lamp, if it's actually for camping. If it's just misc. around the house use, then I guess the crank light might be a bit handier. |

| I've found that a basic tool set in the trunk of my car, along with jumper cables and an MRE, is invaluable. All three items have saved me from countless headaches. Hell, I once had to fix my car on the side of the road in the middle of no where Alabama. The battery cable had corroded and came loose, but without the wrench and screwdriver I would have been screwed. |
