Last I checked Curt has a CEO and a staff who work creating the game. He could be in the Senate the same way he played baseball the last few years, ya know.

Plus, Senators seem to work about as often as pitchers, so it'd be a good setup for him.

I do agree winning the 'Kennedy' seat in an election as a GOPer could be the biggest modern success story of our time. Curt is a registered independent, though.

Romney won after promising he'd be more pro-gay than Kennedy and by making passionate speaches about how he was pro-choice because some family members of his died because of a back-alley abortion. He basically ran as an extremely liberal republican ala Jeffords, then immediately turned around in 2008 pretending to be Mr. Conservative, to the point where every other republican in the race hated his guts and thought he was a huge phony.

Huck had this amazing burn against Romney saying that Romney had more positions than a Chinese gymnast.

Ultimately a moot point. From Politico:

Schilling ineligible to run as Republican

Former Red Sox pitching ace Curt Schilling may be making noises about running for the Senate to succeed the late Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.) but, according to Massachusetts election law, he’s ineligible to run as a Republican.

Schilling told the New England Cable Network yesterday that he has been contacted by people looking to recruit him into the race and hadn’t ruled out the possibility.

But Schilling, who has enthusiastically campaigned for former President Bush and John McCain in past presidential elections, has said that he’s a registered Independent voter. Massachusetts election law requires that anyone seeking a party nomination to be enrolled with the party for at least 90 days before the Nov. 3 deadline for filing nomination papers with the state Elections Division.

That doesn’t give Schilling enough time to run as a Republican – only as an independent candidate for office. And reading into the NECN interview, it didn’t sound like he was all that serious about running but surely liked to see his name out there in print.

“That is probably another one of the reasons why I wouldn’t make a good political candidate right now is that there is an enormous amount of house cleaning that has to be done and I don’t have a really good filter,” Schilling said. “My first press conference could be my last.”

Do you know anything about politics, government, world history, foreign policy, finance, etc... or is this going to be another Sarah Palin but with a World Series ring circus?

Based on what you've posted here, I don't agree with your politics at all, but if you're considering a run, I hope you are at least well qualified beyond just having passion and being fed up with other politicians.

I don't mind the loyal opposition. What I mind are the unqualified, undereducated, overzealous ideologues that seem to infest our elected bodies.

Talk about not even waiting for the Senators body to get cold. What happened? The Jacksons turn you down on that offer to impersonate Michael?

But I definitely did need more proof that athletes and actors can do anything on a high-school diploma. Did you ever even graduate from that community college you went to? Either way, screw those political science geeks. Law, shmawl! State legislators, congressman, all those people are just too..what's the word...oh yeah, qualified. Those folks can get in line behind you. Embrace the demagoguery (Grab a dictionary Curt), shave the porn star mustache, and you just might win.

Just curious here Jait but what's your deal? You are approaching Ut lvls of stupidity. Make you feel all big and bad to attack someone famous? Think it makes you look all edgy and daring? No.. just makes you look childish and stupid.

No clearly, by someone 'famous' you obviously meant Paul Newman, legendary actor and star of that classic film 'Cool Hand Luke' because he's totally relevant to a conversation about Curt Schilling and his interest in politics.

If I had meant Curt I would have said Curt. If you read my comment and actually try to take your head out of your ass, I know real hard sometimes, and think about it you will see it wouldn't have mattered if he was talking to George Bush or Rosanne Barr... he is attacking someone based ONLY cause they are famous... hence my question. Anything else I need to explain to you just let me know... I know basic English can be a chore to read and comprehend sometimes but I am always willing to help.
