here's a great quote from him from one of the articles I read today.

He's a journalist; leaks are sources. He didn't leak anything. He did run the story, though.

A dead douchebag is still a douchebag. The guy is a traitor and just an all around terrible person.

He was complicit in the outing of a covert operative of the United States. Whether you call it a leak or not is semantic bullshit.

Wikipedia disagrees:

On July 14, 2003, Washington Post journalist Robert Novak effectively ended Valerie Plame's career with the CIA (from which she later resigned in December 2005) by revealing her identity as a CIA operative in his column.[27][28] Legal documents published in the course of the CIA leak grand jury investigation, United States v. Libby, and Congressional investigations, fully establish her classified employment as a covert officer for the CIA at the time that Novak's column was published in July 2003.[28][29][30]

Ethics in journalism required, politicians don't need to have it apparently or even be held responsible for treason.

scooter libby was not convicted for revealing valerie plames identity, sure the talking point was that she was covert but she was inactive and being photographed in public. that means she was not a covert agent. please continue to pursue this 6 year old myth, but at least you cant say nobody tried to set you straight on those pesky facts

No one but you brought up Scooter Libby and I have no intention of discussing him nor is he the least bit relevant to whether or not Robert Novac posted a op-ed that outed Valerie Plume. You are free to bring up the well treaded argument of whether or not she should of been considered covert; but the CIA still considered her covert and that pretty much settles the debate of whether he did or didn't out a CIA operative. I don't expect a troll like you to stop your mindless ranting but those are the "pesky facts".

Someone can be photographed in public and still be a covert agent, you fucking moron. Most CIA agents aren't how they're portrayed in the movies. They appear to be normal people living normal lives working for normal companies, which is what Plame was. Outing her as agent endangered anyone who had associated with her in the past, or at least opened them up to suspicion. What kind of chilling effect would that have on other people considering either working for the CIA, or working with a CIA agent?

He and a couple others did to Novak, who published the article.
