A quick computer question...

How would I find out if my motherboard was sending too much voltage to something like my video card?

I have a fairly new Geforce GTX 260 and just today, all of a sudden, I began getting graphical issues similar to what I experienced when my previous 8800 GTX failed on me.

It's more likely to be a PSU problem than a mobo problem. Do you have a shitty PSU?

PSUs are easier to test than motherboards, but it can be hard to figure out if it's spiking enough to kill your GPU. I'd recommend getting a new GPU and a new PSU and then see how it goes.

Put the card in another machine, i the problem goes away its probably the psu.

If the PSU actually fried his video card, it would be fucked up on the other computer as well.

If the GPU works fine on the other board, the PSU or the mobo could be at fault. However, if he tested the 8800GTX that was ruined on another computer, he should've been able to narrow it down to a PSU/mobo problem vs just a busted video card.

I was using this PSU; it's about 2 years old now.

I unfortunately do not have access to any other PCs to test anything on =/

I'm considering just buying a new PSU and Mobo anyhow since they're both 2 years old now...

There are a surprising number of issues with that model according to the link you posted. PC P&C is usually a good PSU brand. I'd definitely still lean toward just getting a new PSU for the time being.
