As for natural vitamin D being better than artificial...when the fuck is artificial anything better than the natural version of it? Man can't do ANYTHING as good as God can as a general rule of thumb. Not to mention the source of things has a great effect on the quality of the product. Quote:

Back in the day only slaves got tan because they were laborers. Now when being a slave forces us indoors and we end up pasty and uncolored those people with the luxury of being outdoors are seen as the power holders with their spare time and/or cash. When the two worlds collide, and you get some shriveled up witch who has a life so miserable they must tan, it's like dipping your balls in ice water while taking a blow dryer to your eyes. And yea, whoever said being out in the sun an hour is worse than tanning for 15 minutes is retarded. tanning beds are not only far more UV because they're speeding up the "cooking your fucking skin" process, but that's also where most of the damage comes from at all. I personally just paint myself black Quote:

I've never burnt while tanning indoors but I have definitely been burnt by being outside in the sun in less than an hour.

| One interesting thing from this new WHO statement will likely be to make it even more difficult for tanning bed providers/salons to secure insurance coverage for thier operations. Right now it is very expensive for business coverage for the places because of the cancer risk. Now throw in this report by WHO and I bet alot more carriers will be jumping ship from covering that type of business activity. |

+8 Internets | People with absolutely no knowledge of or background in oncology really need to stay out of threads like this. For some reason people have this misconception that developing cancer is a simple case of cause and effect. You smoke therefore you get lung cancer. You use a tanning bed and you get melanoma. Really? The bottom line is there are hundreds if not thousands of potential factors (environment, genetic predisposition, etc.) that contribute to people developing certain types of cancer. There are plenty of people that are 70+ years old, have smoked every day of their lives and have no signs whatsoever of developing lung cancer. At the same time I have seen patients that are in their 40s and have never smoked before that are unfortunately diagnosed with it. It is the exact same with UV exposure. Melanoma, while potentially posing an increased risk from high ultraviolet radiation, is not exclusive to people who tan or spend large amounts of time in the sun. To be clear I'm not advocating smoking, tanning, or any other activity that has shown to potentially increase risk of cancer. However, it is much more complex than a simple leap from A to B such as asserting that all people who tan will develop skin cancer. That really couldn't be more far from the truth. |

Seriously, fuck you. Fair skin has nothing to do with health. I adore redheaded women, and one reason why I like them is because I love girls with fair skin. They are not sick or unhealthy. Some people cannot even tan at all, they just burn. If anybody is sick, it's you.
