whats the cost of humane vs inhumane death penalty? 1 bullet + person to pull trigger, quick and painless, or just toss her over a freighter ship and continue on route

As I said in the other thread I don't rule out Death Penalty in this case I just think it should be properly adjudicated and I'm not ready to make the executive branch judge jury and executioner. I think that you all think its black and white when the truth is its grey and far more wide reaching as far as later impact goes.

Or maybe we would like to see people be actually punished for crimes and be confident they won't do them again.

Let me clear this up for you then. The definition of insanity in TX (where the crime occurred) follows the M'Naghten rule. Now, considering the trial will be in a Texas court room (probably not in Bexar county, but somewhere) you are basically asking 12 Texans to believe that a mother didn't know killing and eating her own kid was wrong and illegal. Good luck with that.

She deserves to die, insanity or not. What possible benefit to anyone or anything could she possibly provide by remaining alive that would justify not removing her threat from society? Mistakes may have been made by those around her in providing her with the proper care/medication for her condition, but fuck man...

Don't think it said in the article, but really? She can no longer be a mother, I'd think the kids would be better off with a dead mother, get some closure at least. If she is rehabilitated, who's to say she doesn't go crazy again and there is no food in the house? Not worth the risk, considering how tasty human cheeks are.

Probably more like, if she does have kids (and somehow gets out of jail/mental institution), no way in fucking hell will she ever have custody of them again.
