| Say what you will about the controversy, the man was still a huge figurehead in pop music. Extremely talented. I personally never believed he molested the children in the cases that were brought to attention. Did he ever molest children? Could of, but that wouldn't be relevant since we have no knowledge of this. It's people's own presumptions and attitudes that are overpowering the facts. I will give him my respect as an artist. |

The evidence allegedly was as thorough as to identifying marks on his anatomy! But anyway, he is brown bread now, this controversy will go on for a while and then probably die down. Benoit has started being mentioned at least in passing in wrestling circles on rare occasions and he murdered his family!

At the height of his career we never would have heard about this shit it would have been immediately settled for extreme amounts of money due to his value to the recording industry of which he was basically single handedly responsible for re-vitalizing. This is the guy that introduced MTV viewers to black artists. His impact on the music industry was incredible and as an Entertainer he was second to none when it came to PoP music. That said his impact musically and how his songs will stand the test of time are dwarfed by his other accomplishments or the lack there of which has basically become the story of every modern PoP artist's career save Madonna. | |
