+19 Internets | Hah. Thanks for making the thread; I was feeling too lazy to maintain it. Here are my suggestions... via iTunes Store: Pandora - Excellent music discovery service with genre-specific streams to boot - Free VNC Lite - Allows control/viewing of your desktop/laptop on your iPhone screen - Free RemotePad - Allows you to use iPhone touchscreen as a mouse on your desktop/laptop - Free Measures - Best unit conversion app, due to a great interface - $0.99 eBay - Follow auctions on your iPhone - Free Stanza - Well designed e-Book reader - Free Urbanspoon - Have the app choose a nearby place for you to eat at because you are an indecisive ass - Free Public Radio - Listen to NPR or PRI streams - Free Google App - Very useful voice-search feature, amongst other tools - Free via Cydia/Installer/Icy (requires a Jailbroken phone): If your phone isn't jailbroken this section doesn't apply to you. Please note that as of this time, the iPhone 3GS is not jailbreakable. All other iPhone/iTouch users should strongly consider jailbreaking. Why? Read this to learn more. Cycorder - Allows you to record video w/ audio on the 3G at 15 FPS - Free CyDelete - Makes deleting jailbreak apps as simple as deleting iTunes apps - Free Five Icon Dock - Plop an extra app in your dock! - Free Five Column Springboard - Doesn't work yet on 3.0, but it will soon. EDIT: It works as of 06/23/09, woo! Use more of your iPhone real-estate by having five icon columns instead of four - Free Flashlight - Superior to iTunes' flashlight apps, as this one gets much brighter - Free GriP - Push notification message balloons, similar to Growl. Google it, it's not available on Cydia yet and requires SSHing - Free Lock Calendar - Use all that real-estate on your lockscreen to display calendar events - Free MxTube - View/stream and download(!) Youtube videos to your iPhone - Free SBSettings - Super useful tool that allows you to quickly enable/disable iPhone features that are otherwise buried in Settings, amongst other perks - Free SBSettings Autolock - Requires SBSettings. Addon the aforementioned app that allows you to quickly toggle your iPhone's autolocking on and off. - Free WinterBoard - Required for theming/skinning/customzing your iPhone - Free Snapture - If you want to eek out the most from your 3G's camera, this is the app to do it. Allows for zoom and other features - Trialware OpenSSH - Required to interface/communicate with your phone using your PC - Free Last edited by Jayblah; 06-23-2009 at 11:34 AM.. Reason: Added some extra Cydia apps. |

| Registered User | Official: Twitterrific - Good for those of you that like Twitter - free / paid WootWatch- Get updates on woot, sellout.woot, shirt.woot and wine.woot - free Jailbreak: Icy - Alternate app to Cydia, I find it to be much faster-loading and the GUI is much more polished. Installous / AppSync - Install cracked apps to iPhone. Research yourself. Mobile Terminal - Self explanatory. Needed for some jailbreak app installs. GriP - OSX fans, Growl for the iPhone. Popup notification mod. iRealQuickSMS - Allows for SMS messages anywhere, without closing whatever app you already have open. Very handy. Backgrounder - Run apps in the background! Nice for things like Pandora. Don't over-use. iBlank - Create blank icons so you can create custom icon layouts. Winterboard - Custom themes

| Some others not yet but sure to be also mentioned (and some that were already mentioned that I really like)... Official: SportsTap - Scores, articles about the game, stats for both teams playing. Way better than Scorecenter IMO (havent tried Sportacular listed above yet) - Free Urbanspoon - In a metro area looking for somewhere to eat? Select the city and shake the phone and it randomly picks a type of food, the neighborhood, and the average cost. Customizable if you want a certain type of food, area, or price - Free Simplify Music - Shares your iTunes library on your home computer with your phone. As long as you leave your computer on and plugged into the internet, you can stream your entire iTunes library through your phone from anywhere - Was Free when I got it, now its 3.99-5.99 for the new one. SiriusXM Online - If you have subscribe to satellite radio and have the package that allows you to listen to it online, this app streams it through your phone - Free Thats all I can think of right now. edit: one thing I usually do is if I see an app that says its free now and is going to cost money in x days, I usually just download it as long as it sounds remotely cool. You can always just delete it if it ends up sucking, but I've saved a ton of money by getting lucky and noticing apps the first week or so their around and for free |

| Airport Mania (99 cents) - By far the best game i've played on my Iphone. It's the only game I play daily. I kid myself into believing it improves my stress tolerance and (lack of) multi-tasking skills.

+75 Internets | I just got Shazam the other day and it's fucking amazing. How do they analyze the clips? Do they have a huge database? I only caught the tail end of a song's instrumental playout and it managed to identify it. |

| Jaadu "Jaadu gives you full control of your computer's mouse and keyboard while providing a rich visual display of your computer screen on your iPhone or iPod Touch. Jaadu connects to any device running a VNC server and is currently the only VNC client for iPhone that allows you to see all of your displays full-size, with no screen resolution limits." Pretty bad ass stuff I have seen my friend do with it. |

| Fandango - See local movies playing, see showtimes, and order tickets - Free AroundMe - Lists local restaurants, bars, hospitals, etc; very handy for finding new places around you - Free Shopper - Intuitive interface for anyone who goes grocery shopping with a list. - $0.99 Defender Chronicles - TD with a 2D, RPG side-view twist. High quality, must have for anyone that remotely likes TD-style gaming - $2.99 Knights Onrush - From the same people that made Defender Chronicles, this is a great defend your castle style, finger-flick game. Again, great quality art and controls. $0.99 (On Sale) |

+25 Internets | Clueless question: is there a way to browse the AppStore without a iPhone?
